This doormat is one of the best that I have ever bought. It sits at the inside entrance of our house most often used by two adults and two large dogs. We have just had one of the snowiest and wet spells in a long time and this doormat lived up to its 'waterhog' name. The features that make this a good product are:1. It keeps water IN the mat but the water dries very quickly.2. The mat does not feel wet even when it is because the pile is high enough3. You can vacuum it easily and you can even hose it clean if you take it outside (it dries quickly after being hosed down).4. It stays put because of small grippers on its backing. I place it on another carpet and it has never moved, unlike typical doormats.I have bought much cheaper mats over the years and have always regreted doing so. I do not regret this purchase because it was a wise decision.

How many ways can I say how much I LOVE this door mat! I have three large dogs who eat and sleep indoors and one outdoorsy husband who is rehabbing his barn and working in his garden. After years of frustration with dirty paws and dirty feet I threw caution to the wind and spent $85 for this mat. It catches and holds an incredible amount of dirt and water. The non-skid bottom keeps it in place at the back door. Once a week I throw it over a fence in the back yard and beat it with my broom. The dirt falls out and the mat looks new. I suppose eventually I will have to turn the hose on it. I read all the reviews at Amazon before settling on this mat. This mat has lived up to its reputation and more based on my experience with it to date.

We have a mudroom in which the floor is lined with tile that has a semi-glossy glaze to it. As a result, the floor mat we put there kept sliding around and bunching up even after we put one of those "sticky rubber" mats to put under the fabric floor mat. It drove us crazy as it would bunch up at the most inconvenient times. So, we finally plunked down the money for this mat, and we love it! The backing is studded rubber, and it keeps the mat in place completely -- can't push it around with our feet. We have to lift the mat the move it. Also, the top of the mat does a nice job holding water and wiping off mud from shoes. Some people may want a more fashionable looking mat, but for a mudroom, it is nice and basic, very well constructed, and it does the job exactly. I think it is worth the money.
