5finally a great knife
By Louise
I bought a knife a year ago and paid a lot of money for it and was very unhappy with it, it never felt right in my hand, when I saw this knife it looked different with the off set handle and wanted to try it, the second I took it out of its cool packaging, it felt right in my hand, it is weighted well and the spine goes all the way through the handle and it cuts wonderfully smooth. I was showing it off to anyone who would listen (after all they heard me b*+%!! about the other) and they were happy to hear I was was pleased, my son was the first to inspect it and he thought it was the best knife he ever held. I know its the same for me!

4Beautifull and Peacfull, but not the best
By animetor
This is a pretty model that shows relaxation, my personal liking is the models that show " action", this one however does show beauty in the pretty grey color that seems to "blend" with other modelsATTENTION: I reccomend not giving breyers to a child 9 and younger> ( I broke one of my models on carpet!) As they are EXTREEMLY easy to break

5I LOVE THIS MODEL HORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!
By A Customer
I just got Luna yesterday. She wasn't the one I was planning to get but she's so breathtaking in real life that I couldn't resist. She balances well, so she's fun to play with. I can see why the model is listed in "My Favorite Horses"!!!!!

3Nice but not as good looking as some others
By V. Chandra
We bought several standard size horses before. This one might be my least favorite. It is not as detailed as some others and the colors are very muted. The friend my daughter gave it to is still having a lot of fun with it though!

5Large knife without the weight
By Damian M. Bibb
This is easily my favorite chef's knife in a collection of over 2 dozen, ranging from Wustof classic and cordon bleu, Shun, Global, Mundial,MAC, Henckels ProS, 4 star 5star, Mercer, Calphalon, etc.The Messermeister has a wider blade than almost anything out there, but is suprisingly easy to lift and hold. The handle is on the smaller side, not quite as small as Japanese knifes, but not uncomfortably large. The handle also has a small spot to engrave your initials so you can tell it apart from the other chef's knifes, but in 20 something professional kitchens from coast to coast I have never come across anyone else who carries these knives. The bolster of the knife lacks the wide heel of all but the cheapest and newest high end knives that makes it easy to sharpen and maintain, and avoids that annoying "bump" you always develop after 6months of work on every other 10"chef's I own.The editorial review may or may not mention that from the factory it comes with a much sharper blade angle than any other knife available, and it is easily the sharpest out of the box chef knife I have ever used, including the japanese models. All in all, it is the best knife I have ever owned, and the extra 4or5% that it costs over the other high end chefs knifes is more than worth it and in hind sight even if it were a hundred dollars more it would still be the best purchase I have ever made.

5Best Culinary Gift Ever
By D. Thomas
Two great friends of mine gave me this Messermeister knife--actually, the Meridien Elite version, which simply has a different handle design. They explained that someone who loved cooking and entertaining the way I did shouldn't have my crappy knives. That was 5 years ago, and this knife still amazes and delights me. True, it is very large, and I use it for big items, like carving a huge brisket. But it also remains my favorite knife for routine tasks, like cutting onions and garlic, and even for some fine work (the tip alone can be used on tiny tasks, like scooping out a bruised bit on a peeled apple). The handle remains in absolutely perfect condition after more or less daily use for 5 years. (I don't put it in the dishwasher, though, so your mileage might vary if you do that.) This knife is remarkable!

5Wow
By Gibbsalot
This knife is scary sharp and heavy but I love it! This is my go to knife but I can't stress enough to not let clumsy people use this knife! One mistake with this beast and it's a major accident. Handle is great, smooth all around. I prefer this smooth rounded handle to the flat sided Wusthof classics. If coming from smaller knives it will feel clumsy and cumbersome for a while. Want to get conversations going when you use this to slice up a roast then you'll enjoy this one.
