A fine, fine product. Although they skimped on the ivory and jade inlays, this tower will elevate your cat's spirits to bold new heights. I priced similar shrines of feline idolatry, and they done costed dang near 300-400 dollars american. So I checked amazon and the prices were significantly cheaper so I placed the order. This is a large product so I was amazed I recieved it only two days after placing the order. The ups man complained about the weight, and sighed and cried. He was a pathetic sort. I don't think he'd ever lifted anything heavier than sixty pounds. It's a big box full of carpet, roped cylinders, and particle board promises. The directions were horrible. It looked like an exploding diagram drawn with charcoal on an elephant corpse. The parts aren't even labeled, and I realized half an hour later the screws are two different sizes. It took four educated human beings about three hours to put together. It's easy to put together, but the directions are quite a painful hinderance. I suggest upon opening the product to take out the directions, (it's only one sheet of chinese paper) and roll yourself a fatty with the directions because they are more than useless. Then open up the picture of the beloved article on Amazon and just lego that business like it's easy. Upon completion, your painful frustration will turn to lucid joy as you watch your little pussies jump and play. And they love it. THey sleep, play, scratch, and do many other highly feline actions within it's walls. I quite like the modern art look to it, it's as though I have a Caulder in the living room. I am the envy of all the other residents in my group home. It's also a great place to hide whippets, airplane bottles of green apple schnapps, and FBI listening devices, the orderlies never check. If you love your cats more than your children this is a great gift for your feline assasins.

This cat tower is sturdy and definitely worth the money. Comparable towers cost twice as much.The directions were terrible...HINT: Build it from top to bottom. If you build it from bottom to top, the bolts won't screw in properly.

Nice condo, but instructions not-so-good

The Good: StructureThe Cat Condo itself is great. At 73" it's taller than me. Our 2 cats absolutely adore it. They perch at the highest elevations when awake and retire inside the 2 "homes" when sleepy. I would recommend placing it near a window so your cats can enjoy the view from their throne.The Bad: Instructions/Set UpInstructions were horrible. It consisted of 1 sheet of paper showing a diagram of the structure and a poor indication of what size screws to use where (there were at least 4 or 5 different size screws). There was no parts list and no way of knowing exactly which size screw to use when setting up. Luckily for me, I guessed right. Set up time: 2 hours, if you're lucky.The Ugly: ShippingItem arrived 12 days from the date the order was placed. That was outside the window that Amazon provided. Given that shipping costs $23.95 you'd think the item would have arrived sooner.Conclusion:Overall, I give it a three given the shipping and set-up woes. The condo itself is nice. You'll be fine if you give yourself ample time to set it up and you aren't in a rush to receive it.

Best mechanical Chrono in the business

I am a collector with three mechanical chronos currently, and I have owned many more. This watch is unique for three very important reasons:1. The B-42 is the most accurate mechanical watch I've ever seen (literally +/- 0s after three days. I'm scratching my head over this wondering if it will prove fast or slow. With this level of accuracy I don't think I care) My second best mechanical is my Carrera running at +1, and my Seamaster runs at +2 per day for reference. (I had to calibrate the Carrera down from +6 but that's no big deal)2. The B-42 has no bling....no shiny hands, no glossy bracelet or case. But the double-side anti-reflective coating is superlative, and it reminds me more of a laboratory reference instrument than it does a conventional watch. The orange neon chrono hands are simply gorgeous. It makes my Carrera and my Avenger Seawolf Chrono look gaudy if you can believe that. Although it has a brushed finish, it is a very subdued brushed finish. Now don't get me wrong, there's a place for bling especially when stepping-out (Carrera!), and I love all my chronos, but this watch is the bomb. No one can accuse me of being a show-off, and yet this watch is the ultimate show-off chronograph.3. The watch is built like a tank. Very massive, and yet it doesn't seem overly thick for the size of the case like my Seamaster and possibly my Avenger Seawolf Chrono do. Make no mistake though....those are also great watches.Bottom Line - So far this Fortis is going head-to-head with the super-quartz movement in my Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono. I have to believe at some point the ultra-accurate quartz movement will win....don't I? Hmmmmmmm...scratch scratch....I give the Fortis my very highest recommendation. It is the ultimate 'Laboratory Reference Chronometer' and when I see it on my wrist I feel all warm inside. Especially when one of my colleagues sees it and their jaw drops open.G

Took rice from an occasional treat to whenever we want it!

I have had several of the cheaper on/off rice cookers. They worked ok for white rice, but anything else - forget it. Even with white rice, the bottom consistently got crusty and brown. The stay warm features on those types of cookers have a tendency to run too hot, thus scalding the bottom layer.Now I have a Zojirushi! I rinse some rice in the morning throw it in the Zoji, throw in a little butter and sea salt, set the timer and I am done! Any type of rice! I have cooked Jasmine, Basmati, Brown, Wild, Sticky, and various blends - all of them PERFECT every time.My mom taught me the secret to better rice is to let it soak (especially sticky) before you cook it. This is made so easy because once you've added the rice and set the timer, it soaks all day.I love that you set the timer for when you want the rice to BE READY, not when you want it to start cooking. That way, I can time the rice perfectly to coincide with dinner - brilliant!The ONLY CON: Is that the display battery (used to power the clock when the unit is unplugged) is soldered onto the circuit board. So, unless you are a big do-it-yourselfer and want to crack open your Zoji, you will have to send it to a service center for a new battery. I think this is a very unfortunate characteristic. How difficult would it have been to put the battery in a regular compartment on the side or underneath? Such as you see for a radio, alarm clock or toy. The battery would be easily accessable and replacable by the owner. Hence 4 stars, not 5.

Excellent choice! I've purchased several rice cookers in the past. The last one I had was a Tiger Brand which I was very disappointed with. This by far was the best rice cooker I've ever had. We cook rice everyday and although it takes a little longer than the other brands I've used, the rice comes out "PERFECT" each time and does not get spoiled easily. One of the best feature is that you can actually see the measurement inside the pot.The pot in itself is heavy duty.It's a little pricy but you get what you pay for and this Zojirushi is definitelyworth the money. It also has two different tunes when you initially press the cooking button and after it's done...very cute! We all love it and will definitely recommend to anyone.

You Can Make Perfect Rice and Have it Waiting for You

My husband and I only had rice at restaurants or at dinner parties but very rarely at home. A nurse who ran a weight loss program told me that rice cookers steam rice in a healthier way then when you boil it on the stove top or in the microwave. You could eat healthier and better tasting rice at home with a good rice cooker.We wanted a Zojirushi for their reputation and a versatile model with more features was ideal. The price difference between a 5 cup and 10 cup rice cooker is less than a $20 so buying the 10-cup is a no-brainer. With a 2-cup minimum it's no problem with their stay warm feature that will keep your rice perfectly fresh all day and night. Also a 10-cup is good for entertaining! The Zojirushi NS-TGC18 model is one of 2 rice cooker models with a cake baking option. Not having to turn my oven on to bake a cake in the summer is attractive.The cord on this model coils into the base when not in use with a simple tug of the plug. Very convenient! Just spray the non stick cooking bowl with Pam for easy clean up. The water lines printed on the inside of the pan makes adding water fool proof. The rice cooker plays twinkle twinkle little star when cooking begins. A countdown will begin when you have 15 minutes left and a tune plays when the rice is ready. Then you just use the provided rice paddle to fluff the rice. It will automatically switch to keep warm so you can prepare other dishes if your rice is just a side dish. Then whenever you're ready for rice it will be perfect.Be sure to get "The Ultimate Rice Cooker Book". It's an education in your favorite rice that you haven't enjoyed yet. It has hundreds of recipes that you can use for a "fuzzy logic" model like this one that includes simple rice cooking, whole meals, oatmeal, porridge, grits, and rice pudding recipes that you will have so much fun making in your Zojirushi. Be sure to go with the rice cooker directions when it comes to your water fill line over the books water instructions (the book will even tell you to go with the rice cooker water measurements). The meals are great! So far "Rice with the Three C's" on page 67 is a regularly enjoyed dish in the house and we have Rice Cooker Paella, Arroz con pollo, and a couple of yummy looking rice pudding recipes on our list next. I highly recommend the Zojirushi NS-TGC18 10-cup and hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
