5It is amazing, but is it worth the money?
By K. Kurpiel
I am a recently disabled adult that cannot get enough of a good cup of tea. So seeing this I thought it would make a nice birthday present for me, and make life a little easier around the kitchen. It performs as it says it will.It looks bulky but is surprisingly lightweight and easy to handle. The whole unit spins on a lazy-susan device making it east to direct the steam vent away from kitchen surfaces. You will need a water pitcher of some kind to fill this easily. I have a medium sized one sand simply filly the pitcher twice to fill this device once. The handle on top, removable lid, and notched corner makes emptying and cleaning a breeze. The temperature features are splendid and accurate, there are three:205 for noodles/ramen etc, herbal infusions, pu-er, Assam and some other black teas..195 For Darjeeling or delicate blacks like Illam valley are at this temperature as well, let the water sit a few minutes in the brew pot befor adding tea leaves, if you have a very delicate tea.175 for green or white teas. A few of the more delicate whites fill the tea pot first, then add the leaves. By filling your teapot dry first, this allows the water to lose 5-10F by just warming the pot. Often enough to make a better flavored tea.On a given day I can go from pu-er tsocha right from boiling, and set the temp to 195. Make a pot of bold assam in the afternoon when at a full boil, then set the temp to 175. Now, after dinner it is set for making jasmine tea for dessert. All with a minimal energy usage and cost.I have found it a good idea to refill it only 1-2 times then empty the remains, give it a brush inside with a towel, and then let it completely dry. My scale buildup was reduced quite a bit this way.For a fully able person this unit -is- a bit of a luxury. A simple electric teapot with temperature control would do you just fine for a fraction of the initial cost. This will make cost up over time by the thermos nature though, just a fyi.Have a chain tea drinker in your life though or thoughts for limited commercial use (like a small teahouse), or like tea but have a very full life and time schedule? This would make a great gift for you or even a small splurge to treat yourself.UPDATE:Almost two years later and it not only looks fine but functions just as well as the day I got it. I have to descale it about every 9 months or so. Other than that it is pretty maintenance free. Talk about longer term bang for your buck. If you drink tea or would use boiling water on a daily basis, this is a staple for your kitchen. Some other uses I found. When making soup, rice, thinning a sauce, or deglazing a pan fill your measuring device from the Zojirushi set in slow pour. I now use water from the boiler and the hot water not only speeds up the process, but some flavors are left alone because the room temp water would have cooled the dish and altered the flavors.I have also found the steel finish wipes very easily. A friend who bought the white version has some staining that stubbornly persists to this day. All in all if you get one you will not be disappointed.(small edits made above with input from trial and error over the period I've owned this boiler.)

5Fantastic Appliance
By Duckey
This is my third Zojirushi electric boiler and the best so far! It boils water quickly, dispenses water at a rate that prevents splashing and saves energy by using vacuum insulation. In response to an earlier review, I placed a digital thermometer probe inside a nearly full pot to gauge the accuracy of the unit. The selected temperature of 195 degrees Fahrenheit was measured to be 192 degrees. This difference seems insignificant considering thermometer margin of error. Also, the water temperature does rise above the highest setting of 208 degrees but this is ONLY after boiling. It does return to the selected temperature and maintains at this setting. Lastly, the unit is so well insulated that after choosing the "vacuum insulation" setting - which uses no electricity until dispensing water, 195 degree water was still 150 degrees 8 hours later. This is quite an impressive unit.

5An excellent tea tool for the frequent drinker
By Aaron Stewart
If you're looking for hot-water on tap for tea, hot cereals, instant soups, ramen, etc - this is a very convenient item.I drink green teas heavily, and bought it based on the strength of reviews and the Zojirushi brand reputation. I was not disappointed.I fill it up from the tap, move it to the counter and plug it in. It usually boils in around an hour, and then settles back down to the (adjustable) setpoint in another 1.5 ~ 2 hours. Although I haven't taken a thermometer to its output to verify consistency, I've had great results from the teas I use, so the variations can't be too wild.As is common with Japanese consumer products the controls are well thought out. It has an unlock button to prevent you shooting water onto the floor or something else accidentally, and the double action lever to open the top makes it hard to have your hand in the way & get a steam burn as you open it.The water level is clearly visible via a clear tube with a patterned background, and the 4L capacity suits my tea usage for somewhere between 4 and 7 days, depending on just how much I happen to feel like having.I especially recommend it if you're a Macha tea fan, as it makes the process remarkably fast and easy, simply scoop your tea into a bowl, add some water straight from the Zojirushi, whisk and enjoy. The only design annoyance I've seen is that the power plug relies on magnets to hold itself in the socket. This is itself a good idea, except most of the body is metal. So if you position the dispenser such that you 're trying to plug it up from behind and can't see where the plug should be exactly, the magnet sticks to the body anywhere you put it until you can feel around for the socket. A fairly minor annoyance, but one that could have been fixed by making the body out of plastic further around the plug socket.Very solid overall product.

4The best 1st generation AVCHD camcorder on the market today
By Lewis Lee
This is my first Amazon review. In the past I've had two Sony Hi-8 camcorders, a, Sony Mini-DV (DCR-PC1) and two Panasonic 3-CCD Mini-DV camcorders (PV-DV953 and PV-GS120) and now this HDC-SD1 will be my 6th model. Having had the last 2 weeks now to familiarize myself with the ins-and-outs of the HDC-SD1, I'd like to pass on what I've learned of this little dynamo. There are some limitations I had to accept in order to feel confident about making a smart $1100 purchase. First and foremost, be warned that the MPEG-4 H.264 Codec is not currently supported by iMovie HD, Final Cut Studio, Vegas, or any other popular NLE, though revisions and plug-ins are expected probably around summer 2007. If you can live with that for now, then be prepared for the output from this machine to knock your socks off.Personally I was willing to live with not being able to edit the footage for now because I wanted to capture the first months of our 7-week old infant in the best quality available, and this meant either going AVCHD using mini-DVD (Sony HDR-UX1), AVCHD using a hard drive (Sony HDR-SR1) or AVCHD using a chip (Panny HDC-SD1). HD camcorders recording to DVD were the first to be taken off the list because of its annoying disc formatting and finalizing times and the brevity of recording length. I took the tape-based HD camcorders out early on due to my own experience with the frustration of locating footage using a linear recording format. More on this later. I also did not consider HDV-based HD camcorders as ingesting HDV footage (MPEG-2) is onerously slow and no piece of cake for one's hard drive. To be fair, HDV is a mature (more dated?) technology while AVCHD is still relatively embryonic with a huge upside still to come. So after lurking through a few forums and thumbing thru @500 page views of info, I gave the nod to the Panasonic. Absolutely no regrets. Even with the just announced HDC-SD3 coming in a few months stateside, it didn't look much better spec-wise to the HDC-SD1 and my baby might already be walking by then so I'm glad I got this now. I'm also in the process of purchasing an 8th or 9th generation plasma to match the output (1080i/60) from this little wonder as my current set doesn't support 1080i.Unique advantages compared to other models in its competitive set:+It has a high design aesthetic and is the smallest 3-CCD HD consumer camcorder on earth. It's as long as a dollar bill and just as wide. (I measured)+With the Quick Start mode activated, the camcorder fires up and starts recording in about 2 seconds after the screen is opened. Never miss your baby's first steps with this guy.+Built-in option of having virtual guidelines superimposed on the display for better compositions and more level horizons. The camera gives you three choices, horizontal lines only (my favorite) a big grid, or a small grid (egg crate) for the truly anal.+German designed Leica Dicomar lens contains three aspherical elements that keeps chromatic aberration in check, with almost all surfaces multicoated.+Simplicity of button layout and U.I., even though most advanced functions still there and easily accessible, like iris and shutter controls, fades, etc.+Optional color bar indicator for tonal checks on your TV for calibration, normally seen only on professional broadcast camcorders.+An option called 'zoom-mike' that focuses the sound on the area that you've zoomed into up 12X, great for surveillance work I guess. Or stalkers.+Built-in HDMI to connect right up to an HDTV with no signal degradation, with one cable handling both HD video and 5:1 Surround Sound if connected thru an HDMI receiver.+Weighs about one pound with media and battery. The girth and weight of the HDC-SD1 is almost exactly the same as a 16-ounce can of Coke.+Package includes a 4 Gb SDHC class 2 media card that can hold between 40 minutes and 90 minutes' worth of footage depending on compression, when most camcorders don't even come with a $5 tape.Unique disadvantages compared to other models in its competitive set:-The multifunction joystick is on the small side and can be confusing in use. For some people I can see how this might hamper recording effectiveness. On the other hand, it's no better or worse than the joystick on the Panny PV-GS400/500.-USB 2.0 is nice but the the lack of a firewire/iLink connection is a bit of a bummer.-Camcorder battery will not recharge in-camera, nor will it recharge if AC adapter is utilized (plugged-in) at the same time.-Included software that handles rudimentary editing functions works only on PCs.-Resolution of still images taken is below par when compared to other models in its competitive set (like the Sony HRD-SR1 or Canon HV10/20)-No tactile focusing ring if you like to verify the focus, a distinct advantage with the Sony camcorders in general and even its brother the Panny PV-GS500.A quick vent. What bugs me with tapes, whether Hi-8, Mini-DV, etc is the time needed to peruse through vast amounts of media to get to a specific footage. It is entirely possible to spend up to 5 or 10 minutes jogging back and forth on an 60-minute tape to find the 30-second clip of something you're actually looking for. Recording to either HDD or an SDHC card, not only can clips be played at a glance in any order, erasing a clip is just as easy. For example, you have two 15 minute clips of primo footage with a 15 minute clip of some pointless recording in between. With a tape, it is much safer to keep all 45 minutes of footage to retain the good 15 minutes' worth on the end. With an SD card, the middle 15 minutes can be deleted like a photo in your digicam, and you're left with another 15-minute chunk of space for better footage. The analogy I can make between the HDC-SD1 and its HDV rivals would be akin to comparing an HD camcorder spawned from the iPod (flash memory) and an HD camcorder fathered by a Walkman (tape-based) and I personally would never go back to using my Sony Walkman when I can slip a Nano in my pocket. I probably sound like an anti-tape nut by now but it's only because I have over 50 Mini-DV tapes in our collection that nobody has touched in the last couple of years. I mean, why not settle for true random access if it's available? Good luck to all in your purchasing.

5Panasonic HDC-SD1PP
By John Woods
This camera delivers great picture quality and is very easy to use.If you are looking forward to editing and publishing your videos taken with this camera please note, at the time of North American release, software packages that can handle AVCHD digital format encoded using MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (m2ts) are only starting to show up.The software included with this camera, Leadtools HD Writer Ver 1.0E for SD1, is capable of only basic operations such as scene preview, split, merge, and delete. Using this software you can backup your videos on a DVD-R disk, but you won't be able to play it back, unless you have one of the new Blu-ray disk players. The software situation will improve with time, and there will be more high definition video options in the future. To hookup this camera to a high definition display you can use provided component cables or the HDMI output (HDMI cable is not included). Standard audio, video output is also available for older TV sets (cable included). The computer interface is USB (cable supplied); it works only when the camera is hooked up to the AC/DC adapter (included). By the way, the battery will not charge inside the camera; charge it on the adapter disconnected from the camera.Videos and pictures are stored on an SDHC card (some SD cards can also be used, but SDHC class 2 or better are recommended). A 4 GB SDHC card (one included) is good for about 40 minutes of recording in the highest quality HF setting; this is also about as much as the stock VW-VBG130 battery can handle. For more power on the go an optional VW-VH04 battery pack holder can be used. You can use additional SDHC cards, or dump data to a laptop computer via USB cable, or use optional VW-PT2 or similar SDHC media storage device. The battery is loaded from the bottom. When using the camera on a tripod, load the battery first. In addition to videos, this camera can also take still pictures. The quality of still pictures is so-so with some digital artifacts showing up; but it is fine for occasional snapshots. On the positive side, the still picture trigger on this camcorder functions like on real picture cameras: you can pre-focus depressing the trigger half way. Thanks to the powerful 3CCD sensor architecture and optical image stabilization the videos this camera takes are very good, even in sub-optimal light conditions. There is an automatic mode, and a manual mode for more advanced control. One of the features I especially like is the Grid that can be displayed for better shoot composition.HDC-SD1 is one of the first consumer high-definition cameras from Panasonic, it's a great start and sure to please customers looking so save the moving pictures of unforgettable moments in life.

5Excellent Camcorder
By iPP
This is an excellent piece of camcorder. I was blown away by the Video Quality of it. Here are some of the Pros and ConsPros1. Excellent Video Quality and Auto White balance - I can see the exact color in my video in good light. Low light performance is also not bad.2. 3 CCD chip - Excellent colors and saturation, I compared my old Sony HC40 and Panasonic SD1 side by side shooting the same scene at the same time in Auto mode mounted on Tripods and Panasonic has great colors & Sharpness3. Leica Optics - Optics are much better on this one4. Manual Options - Can set White balance, Iris, Shutter Speed to get more manual control, has separate option for backlit subjects.5. High Definition - I don't have a high definition TV, but video looks sharp on my computer and TV. I am completely satisfied with it.6. Size - Perfectly sleek and light7. Comes with separate charger and remote controlCons1. No iLink inside the Camcorder2. No View Finder3. Video Outputs (except HDMI & USB) are not available outside without lifting/bringing the LCD Screen out. LCD screen can break if camera accedentaly falls and i want my LCD panel to be closed when I am watching the video4. Comes with filter thread, but the filter hood should be purchased separately5. HDMI cable is not presented6. Only 40 Mins video at highest quality on 4GB SDHC Card.7. I was not able to copy using media copiers to backup and download this card which i can use to backup my digital images while I am on the field.8. Joystick on the camera can be better, You have to get used to it.9. Less/Complex Editing options as this is AVCHDEvery camera has a drawback and is not 100% perfect. I consider Panasonic a very good buy for people looking for 3-CCD, and a little manual control.

By George
This product arrived 6 days after purchase (fast delivery considering it said it might arrive 2-3 weeks) The seat covers have a clean look. I would recommended to anyone who is tidy with their car. The only bad part (minor) is it is hard and takes long to install.

5Thank god for Amazon.com
By Barbara M. New Jersey
We are remodeling our kitchen and I have already order the blower for our range hood. no one has told me that we need a liner for the fan. Thank god for Amazon because I recieved the ccustom hood liner very quickly. The phone people were so helpful in helping me get the right size for the hood. Needless to say, Our hood was up for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Without Amazon I would of never been able to cook on the new stove without a working hood. Thank you so very much.

3A Clarifying Shampoo
By Mary
Definitely a clarifying shampoo. Does not hydrate. Strips your hair of product to avoid buildup. You need to follow up immediately with a strong conditioning agent if you choose to use this shampoo. I will probably not buy this product again because it is too harsh for my damaged hair. After using it in the shower my hair gets tangled before I put in conditioner. Does not make my hair soft or manageable. The purpose of this shampoo is to strip the hair of products, it's not a great one for washing the scalp either. I don't even know someone I can give it to who would want to use something this harsh. I'll probably try to give it to my hair stylist friend for use on certain customers. She probably wouldn't even use it on herself. Would recommend this product for a salon only, it could damage a person's hair easily, especially if they use it, and then try to run their fingers through the hair. They could rip the strands easily.

I've used Washe Elite shampoo for years and it's the only one that keeps my hair soft and full of body without having to use all those conditioners. Highly recommend it.

5love it!
By sillysam
Years ago I had a stylist make my brown hair platinum blond. It took her 3 months (my hair does not like to be messes with) and she made me use this. It is very harsh shampoo, you need to use the conditioner with it. She Made sure I didn't use other conditioners because they are formulated to work together. After a wash my hair felt like silk! After 3 months of stripping my hair of color twice a week to make me "wow blond" I didn't have any fall out and my hair was not damaged at all because of this shampoo/conditioner. I used this stuff until I moved a few states away and could no longer buy it from her, I am sooo excited I can get it here!!!

5Great fan, great value.
By R. Schneider
It's definitely quiet. I won't say 'silent' - I'm not even sure it's truly possible for a fan at this price to be 'silent.' But it's way way quieter than the bare-bones fan I used to have. The night light is nice, too. The main light at first is a bit dim, but after a minute or so it brightens up. We had it installed in the center of the bathroom. We kept the over-the-mirror lights for tasks that require bright lighting at the mirror (e.g., putting on makeup). And the price was great on Amazon - $50 less than the exact same fan at one of the chain hardware stores (where they said it was on sale...).

5Very good but not " Ultra "
By R. Judy
The fan works extremely well, the lights work well the added night light is used a lot and is nice to have. I'm not sure why the word Ultra is used for how quiet it is. It is not the loudest fan I have heard but it is far from the quietest fan. There are some so quiet that you wonder if the thing is even working, those, I would consider " Ultra silent " And that's what I assumed I was buying. This is a great fan though. I went a step above the recommendation for cfm for my bathroom size and think it was well worth it

4Largely effective and quiet
By Matt B. AIV
I've owned this unit for a full year. Although I appreciate the dual lights (particularly the night light) and its relatively quiet motor, this Broan model did not work effectively. Precious little suction power was observed directly beneath the unit, and one quadrant of the grille literally blows air down back into the room. I replaced the ducting, verified the installation, ensured the fan's interior was free of artificial obstructions, et al, yet I observed limited improvement. I contacted the manufacturer for guidance. My bathroom was simply too large for this unit. I installed a pocket door between our walk-in closet and the main bathroom which served to limit the cubic footage the fan moves. Now, performance has improved to the extent I'm satisfied with this product. Product support was very helpful.

5Perfect Size & Perfect Rice - Glad I Got This Instead of the NS-LAC05
By Tom Tracy
Just got this rice cooker this afternoon & immediately tried it out making one "Zojirushi cup" of sticky short grain white rice I bought at a Japanese grocery store. I just finished gobbling it up with a little soy sauce and it was DELICIOUS! The rice came out perfectly - nice and sticky (I can't wait to make some sushi with it!), but not watery at all and cooked perfectly.I was really torn between this model and Zojirushi's NS-LAC05 3-Cup model. Most of the time, I will be cooking rice for only 2 people, so the 3-Cup NS-LAC05 seemed ideal. But, on the other hand, I liked the flexibility of getting this bigger 5 1/2-Cup model - e.g., when having company over for dinner, or for cooking "one pot" rice-based dishes - I thought I could use the extra room in both cases. And, this bigger model can make cakes, where as the 3-Cup is too small. The only thing that worried me about getting this bigger model was I wondered if it would cook a small amount (i.e., one "Zojirushi cup") of plain rice as well as the smaller model - after all, that is what I would be doing most of the time.Well, the flexibility won out in the end (as well as the surprisingly lower price of the NS-TGC10 on Amazon - $10 cheaper than the smaller NS-LAC05). And my worries about making a small amount of plain rice in the NS-TGC10 turned out to be unfounded as I discovered in my test run.So, if you are torn between these two Zojirushi models, I recommend this one - $10 cheaper & more flexibilty. Plus, judging from the dimensions of both, it is not much bigger than the NS-LAC05 so it won't take up significantly more kitchen counter space.EDIT (on September 21, 2011) - Three & a half years later, this rice cooker is still going strong & we use it all the time. Our love of this cooker can best be summed up by the comment my wife made several months back. She is not one for special-purpose kitchen gadgets, but she said that this rice cooker was BY FAR the most useful such kitchen gadget we ever purchased or tried...

4Very Good, but not Perfect
By H. Fung
I bought this rice cooker a month ago and we used it almost every day. We used it to cook white rice most of the time. I have tried brown rice once and sponge cake twice.White Rice: Taste and texture-wise, it's the same as my other rice cookers. But it takes 45min to cook (vs 20min in others). There is a Quick Cook feature, but that is 30min still. There is 1 noticeable difference with the rice, it tastes very good the next day with microwave reheating.Brown Rice: Texture-wise, there is a huge difference from my other rice cookers. The brown rice is soft and plum, but it takes almost 2hr to cook.Sponge Cake: The cakes collapsed both times after I opened the lid.Features I like:- Retractable power cord- Non-stick coating bowl- Music indicator of when it starts and ends- "Bumpy" spatula and spatula holder on the sideFeatures I don't like:- No condensation collector- Having to clean inner lid every time

5Excellent Rice Cooker: Wish It Played Something Other Than Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star!
By A. Stagg
Seriously, it plays Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star when you start it. But, we love it!This is my second Zojirushi rice cooker with fuzzy logic. I received the first one as a gift 10 years ago and it still works fine. We got this one, because we wanted a smaller cooker that didn't take up as much space in our overloaded kitchen. Our old cooker is a 10-cup model and worked flawlessly. The new model is much improved. The retractable cord is an excellent feature and the cooker is easy to program. It is also easy to clean and nonstick. Cooks rice to perfection. Yes, it's expensive, but it does an excellent job and it's built to last. We had originally gotten a cheaper brand ($40) to replace our old Zojirushi. Big mistake. It lasted less than a year. Zojirushi is much higher quality and we look forward to another decade or more of regular use. Highest recommendation!!Update May 2009: Still using this cooker regularly. Does a great job and is holding up well!! No problems.

My husband chose this fridge and freezer. I must say I was skeptical but now I love it. It looks very expensive and everyone can't believe how little we paid. It looks like Subzero fridge.

4Meets All Our Needs + Stylish and Very User-Friendly
By PuppyLove
My husband & I had the hardest time picking a stroller/car seat combo. This was our first baby, so we had no idea what qualities would be important to us. Safety is obvious, and price was of course a factor, but what else? Lightweight? Easy to set up & take down? Comfort for us & baby? Which mattered more & which "cons" should we give the most credence to? We went to many stores & tried out every model, then we'd come home and read the Amazon reviews, and the ones we liked would have negative comments that would make us doubt our decision, so we'd start the search all over again. It seemed like no one liked their stroller/car seat.I'm sure some of you out there are having the same trouble, so for those of you hung up like I was on the negative comments, I would like to give you a different perspective on some of the other reviews. Just because there is a "con" doesn't mean it's a dealbreaker - these things are livable! There is no perfect item out there - the Chicco is as close to perfect as we felt we could get - we love it, and we'd buy it again.THE BIG PICTURE:1. This is a GREAT stroller for the price range. It is not the cheapest, but not nearly the most expensive. We bought a Graco first and didn't like it - the carseat on this locks so much easier into the base and the stroller, and it also feels much sturdier, smoother, and better put together than the Graco.2. It rides great - inside & outside. It steers easily, it's smooth, and the handle feels comfy.3. It is easy to clean, and the fabric choices are stylish.4. The stroller is very simple to unfold & fold, and the carseat could not be any easier to lock in place.5. It is comfortable for the baby. She falls asleep & stays asleep in it often.NOW, TO ADDRESS SOME SUPPOSED DRAWBACKS:1. Yes, the fabric is warm, (some of the styles of Chicco even seem hotter than others, go see them in person first), but so are pretty much all carseat fabrics (and swing and high chair fabrics). It makes them easy to clean). We bought the "Cubes" and are happy with that fabric and pattern. It is summer in Texas and the baby sweats a bit on her back. It doesn't seem to bother her at all.2. We have not had any trouble with the straps being too tight or too loose, brakes not working, or wheels squeaking. Our baby has been in the 75-90th percentile for height & weight since 2 months, and no trouble fitting. And I can't imagine how anyone could have trouble locking in the carseat unless it was broken. We literally tried every model at Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby, and this was the easiest one to lock in.3. Yes, it is heavier than some models. The seat feels heavier than the stroller. I consider myself a full-fledged wimp, and I could handle either. I use a carrier of some type instead of toting the seat by itself when possible. Not a big deal.4. When using the seat with the stroller, unless you have a very narrow diaper bag, it will be hard to get it under the seat, and you won't be able to fit some shopping items under there. Again, not a big deal - use a mommy hook or carry the bag on your shoulder. You don't need tons of heavy stuff in your bag when the babies are that young. We always used a hand basket for shopping - it is easy enough to maneuver the stroller with one hand, and we never felt comfortable putting shopping items under the stroller. It felt like people were always watching us thinking we were shoplifting. (Sometimes they specifically checked for that).5. The adult beverage holder is too shallow. If you hit a bump, your drink will probably spill. However, if you are at the mall, etc., not many bumps there, and if you are outside, you can attach a water bottle to a mommy hook.Disclaimer: We have owned this for 5 months now, it is holding up perfectly so far. We live in the suburbs, so we use this for shopping, but we also take it on a pretty rough sidewalk about 1/2 to 1 mile every day. We also have large vehicles, so no trouble fitting the stroller. Another caveat, either one of us does the grocery shopping while the other keeps the baby, or we both go & one pushes the cart and the other pushes the stroller, so if you have to do lots of shopping alone & with baby, there may be a better product for you since the carseat does take up most of a shopping buggy & the basket is difficult to access.

4Absolutely love this thing
By Brady'sMommy
First, since I'm only rating the stroller and not the entire system, I can't give it 5 stars. The stroller deserves 5 stars though. Our infant was too big for the car seat when we bought it so we haven't had a chance to use it yet. We bought this system because we wanted the stroller but since it didn't come without the car seat we just gave in and bought the whole thing and decided to sell our old seat.Anyway, the stroller is amazing. It had all the amenities we were looking for. We did not want a large stroller or a small umbrella stroller so we were looking for a mid-size. My husband is 6 ft tall and I am 5'5" so the adjustable handle is perfect for both of us. My son is tall and big and is 9 months old. He is off the charts for height and is in the 95th percentile for weight and he fits in the seat fine. IDK why another parent said his/her child didn't fit in it. I'd personally love to see that myself. This is our third purchased stroller, 6th if you count the ones we have borrowed. It rides smoother than the others we have used. It turns easier, rides higher, has more adjustments and amenities than any others. I wish we had bought this instead of the other two strollers we have gone through but hey, live and learn right? The front wheels are lockable so they do not rotate. Awesome feature. There are many times I rock the stroller back and forth to comfort the baby while eating out or while in a long line at the store. When the wheels rotate on the other strollers while doing this, it frustrates me to no end! I love this locking feature. The material is the same material as our high chair (Chicco Polly Highchair - Adventure). The material gets spots very easily but they also come out easily. Just throw it in a cold wash without soap, high water level, hang dry and you are set.

3Love the carseat, wish I hadn't bought the travel system (stroller)
By James Williams
As a first-time parent (my child is now a toddler), I did hours and hours of research and visited Babies-R-Us several times before deciding on this travel system. If I had things to all do over again, I would purchase the car seat by itself and forget about the stroller. I found that there was not too much difference between car seat weights from when comparing one good brand to another, so the fact that this car seat is a little bit on the heavy side did not bother me (a 20 pound child in an infant seat is going to be heavy no matter the weight of the carseat!!). I really like how substantial the infant seat base is and the ease at which it can be installed. I won't go into details about all the specs/bells and whistles because you probably have a good idea of those features if you are doing extensive research as I did. The stroller is fine for what it is made to do (be a full-size stroller) and the features are what you need and expect. HOWEVER, I found that hauling around the stroller (I even have a large SUV) was tedious and the bulk/size of the stroller makes it impractical for frequent use or for travel. After speaking with several moms of toddlers, I recently purchased a Maclaren Quest, which I LOVE. The Quest is in a totally different class of strollers than the Chicco Cortina stroller, so comparisons are not really fair. Personally, after having a baby, I founded that I wanted a smaller, much more compact stroller that was more practial for daily use, airports, travel, etc.; the Quest has storage, is lightweight, folds very compactly, and reclines to almost flat, but obviously you can't just clip your baby's carseat into it. The Quest was expensive, but I didn't want to cheap out and then end up buying yet another stroller and keep adding to the collection. Maclaren does make at least one model of stroller that can be used from a newborn up (although I don't know that you can clip an infant seat into it).The Cortina does have some practical uses for a very young baby, but again, if I had it to all do over again, I would wait to purchase a stroller until I had a better idea of my needs and expectations. I don't know if a good option for strolling a newborn who is in his infant seat would be a frame that the carseat could clip into---I have several friends who have used that option. I encourage you to talk to other moms whose babies are at least 6-9 months old and also of moms who have toddlers and see what their thoughts are of their strollers.

5PERFECT
By Nima P.
I live in a 300 sq ft studio with no real kitchen. My first thought was that I needed a place to put my utensils as my current kitchen does not consist of any drawers. This piece provides me with ample space, and lots of extra cabinet space. I love that I can just roll it over when I want to sweep underneath it.Many people said that it was difficult to put together, so I had asked a friend to stop by in the evening to help. I thought I would get a head start by doing the easy things - getting drawers together and such. By the time my friend made it over, 2 hours later, I had already put the whole thing together and was placing items into the cabinets! Not as hard as what everyone says. Just follow the instructions VERY carefully.

4Dolly Madison Kitchen Island cart
By C. Clark
This is a quality product for the price. It was easy to assemble and has held up well -even with my husband's less than gentle way of shutting the doors. It is great for extra storage in the kitchen as well as work space when counter space is limited.

4ok item
By White Snoopy
This cabinet is an ok cabinet. When I read other people comments about this product seem not easy to assemble, but after I did it, I feel great because it was easy for me. It took me 2 hours from opening the box until I finished to move my utensils and kitchen tools from my old cabinet, and placed it to the place that we want, plus cleaning the messy styrofoam. For u r information, I did it by myself. Don't forget to use electric screw driver (drill). If u don't use the electric screw driver, it may take longer times to finish it up.All the small parts like magnetic catches, hinges, and the drawer slides are in place already.Only the back of the cabinet and the base of the drawers do not made from solid wood. But they are strong enough to hold everything. The black paint of this cabinet is not smooth like in the picture. I can say the paint is not smooth like an expensive furniture or like a car paint. Yet, it looks good and looks expensive when look from a distance. But it will look un-expensive when u look closely. There are big gaps between the doors, so you can take a look what are inside the cabinet from outside. I think the doors are smaller. If u need to make it perfect then u may adjust the place of the hinges. When u adjust the hinges then don't forget to cover the holes of the previous screws. You cannot use the counter top as a cutting board. The drawers are little bit small. The inside dimensions of the drawers are 10.5 x 17 x 3.5 inches.I found some scratches on the cabinet panels.

4Better than one size fits all, but not really custom
By SomeGuy
It seems that these seat covers are "custom" only in the sense that they have holes for seat controls, air bags, etc., at locations appropriate for a given vehicle, but their sizes are not really custom. Anyway, the set I got for my car (2000 Accord EX without a side air bag) had all the right holes, but there was way too much slack behind the seat, which could not be corrected by adjusting the velcro strap. Also, the set did not include a cover for the arm rest between the front seats. The stitching quality is not as good as in your $1000 Italian leather shoes, but the stitches hold, which is the important part. These covers were much easier to install than my previous set.I decided to keep them anyway, because the leatherette material seems very durable and pleasant to the touch, and the fit, though not perfect, was not that bad.

4Great product; delivery not-so-great.
By D. Pattillo
We are very happy with our refrigerator. We keep cold drinks in our garage and this was a perfect solution, as it has no freezer. We could not be happier with the product itsself. However, delivery is absolutely unacceptable and we will not order large appliances from Amazon EVER again. The delivery team was just barely willing to get the box in the door of our garage. (I don't know what would have happened if we needed it in our 2nd floor kitchen.)I had to man-handle the box into place, cut the layers of the box open and unscrew the attached wooden shipping pallet all by myself.None of this would have been a big deal, but we did pay $120 for delivery - and I was not expecting to have to do this all by myself before we could get cars back into our garage.

3Marginal
By Val D. Steed
The whole experience took a lot of time an hassle to finally get the fridge delivered. Product arrived with a dent in the door and scatches down the one side. I would have sent it back but that would just start the whole shipping nightmare over again. The fridge itself is not very energy efficient and it needs to be set on the highest setting to get stuff cold. For our garage this is fine but I would not buy this product to use inside as the motor is noisy. I guess you get what you pay for and this one is cheap all the way around.
