Unstoppable

I bought this one for my son. I owned my own for 4 years prior and have never needed to sharpen the blade or lubricate the action. I use it constantly. The cobalt/stainless blade, aircraft aluminum handles and titanium guts just can't be stopped or hurt.

The XM-1S is an outstanding folder knife, the handle is made up of aircraft grade aluminum and the blade is stainless steel. The blade is extreamly sharp and very sturdy, it is my favorite knife, I would recomend for any one with larger hands due to how thick the handle is.

Glass is too brown for my taste

but the fixture itself is exactly what I wanted for my bedrooms. I solved the shade color problem by purchasing replacement glass from Kichler's Hendrik brushed nickel model. The whiter shade looks better in my opinion, and allows for a brighter light. One of these lights arrived with the glass shattered; it would have been more convenient (and less expensive, given that I was replacing the shade anyway) if Kichler would simply have sent me a replacement globe; after all, nothing was wrong with the ceiling light itself. But their procedure requires shipping the entire fixture back. Amazon was prompt, efficient and more than helpful, working with me, putting me directly in touch with Kichler. Unfortunately Kichler's "send the fixture back" policy is set in stone, so I just replaced the glass at my own cost.

A nice arts and crafts light

This looks great in my front entry way. I've used some Benjamin Moore "classic" colors on the first floor, and the bronze finish and beige light shade go well with the look. It _just_ fits above my front door as it opens. It would be possible to trim the main threaded screw a bit if you needed it a fraction of an inch higher. The shade must be some kind of resin; the whole thing was much lighter than I expected. I'm going to get a second one for the main hallway. One star taken away because it is a bit pricey.

Very Impressed

Sure beats those expensive HEPA machines!

Why spend hundreds of dollars on a machine that sucks air in and blows it out through overpriced filters when you can do the same thing with this unit for less? This unit uses standard 20X20X1 inch filters. If you search Amazon for "20X20X1 filters" you will find a wide range of filtration. The most expensive filter being about $15.

Good idea

The first thing to happen to me after taking this unit out of the box was the "Lasko" name plate instantly falling off, I would think if Lasko cuts corners on the adhesive that holds their company logo to the front of the fan then where else have they cut corners?! Oh well, This is a simple inexpensive solution to a dust or allergy problem I suppose... Its just a regular box fan with a filter slot attached to the back. Once you have it up and running you'll notice its kinda loud even on the low setting, It doesn't bother me in fact it helps me sleep by drowning out other noise but the second setting is so loud that I can't hear my room mates when they knock on my door. This is definitely not a fan... Don't buy this for a hot summers day, the air out put is very low compared to a regular box fan and the air that does come out is not cool. But its very good at sucking in dust and thats why I purchased it. I can't help but feel it won't last very long... I've had lasko box fans before that have died or the fan motor starts making a nerve wracking never ending squeaky shrill, so what chance will this unit have considering it's motor will work much harder pulling the air through a air-filter that will eventually clog with dust. You might want to invest money in a reuseable/washable air filter rather than buy the throw away types.20x20x1 EZ-2000 Electrostatic Washable Air Filter I've noticed a much better air flow with the electrostatic filter. Time will tell, but as of right now its doing a good job and I recommend it...**UPDATE** I've been using them every day for 4 months straight and I'm very happy with the purchase. Both air cleaners are performing really well, they've cut my dusting/vacuuming down to once a month and I just love that!

A bit loud, but worth the price

If you are going to use it while you sleep, it is loud. I have a large bedroom and put on the other side of the room it is OK and masks noises. I put a 3M filterete filter in it to increase airflow and increase filtering ability. It would work great, as it is, to get nuisance dust out of the air with the MERV 8 filter supplied. Good for a workshop or dusty environment. Amazon has it for half the price I have seen it elsewhere.

When I saw that it required assembly I was concerned it wouldn't be worth the money. Was I wrong. It went together so easily, took five minutes. From a distance it looks like it costs more, up close you can see that it's painted metal but it matches the other lighting in the bathroom so it's perfect. For the price, you couldn't ask for more.

Awesome and sturdy

This is a beautiful piece. The only problem that I would note is that it is very heavy. You need to ensure that you have a stud to place it on. Also, it sticks out further from the wall than most other TP holders, so you need to ensure proper placement.

Bought one 3 years ago, it's fantastic

I bought one of these three years ago, my kids and I love it. I have it set up for myself plus 3 kids and we use it all the time. It's kept outside under a carport and still looks almost new. I just wish it had gears as I understand some of the other berg cars do so uphill would be easier and I could go faster on level ground. It's also pretty heavy, but very easy to pedal, my 5 year old can do it.

Great looking light

A very nice addition to the oriental corner of my house.If you are planning on using this in India, you will only need to purchase a medium size light bulb with a screw type holder. These are now easily available in India even in CFL from Phillips and Osram.The glass used in the design is curved frosted glass, hence in case you break it you will need to source it directly from craftmade. Not something that can be easily fabricated.

Excellent Product

I have a 16.2 hand 19 yr. old Paint gelding with Navicular Disease. He has been nerved due to the lameness being so bad a few years ago. From further exam from the vet, he feels that the nerves have grown back. After doing weeks of research, I found this product and the reviews. He now has been on Recovery with H/A for over a year, and combined with Egg Bar shoes, Rim Pads, 1/2 gram of bute and Isox daily, he moves like he's never been sore/lame in his life. Previous to adding the Recovery, and using the rest of the combination.....but ....1 1/2 grams of bute daily, he was still showing consistent signs of lameness. I would highly recommend this product for anyone with a horse that has lameness issues. Currently I am also starting our 11 1/2 yr. old Shepard mix on the Recovery SA to see if this helps with his spine, nerve, and old age issues. I'm truly hoping the SA version does as well for the dog as it has for the horse. :)
