5Great Screen - Great Price!
By S. Kydd
The screen arrived quickly and was well packaged with the screen material wrapped around a plastic tube and inserted inside another plastic tube (4" heavy plastic drain pipe). The aluminium frame is quick to put together, it comes in 6 pieces, the sides are one piece and the top and bottom are in two pieces. The top and bottom frame pieces are joined together with small shaped pieces that insert into the extruded frame and are screwed in place through each side of the frame, works well and makes a very neat and strong join between the frame pieces. There are 90 degree corner pieces that insert into the end of each frame and make it very easy to fit the screen together, make sure you measure the diagonals to check everything is square before tightening all the screws. Once the frame is together it is very easy to fit the screen material, there are 6 plastic rods that have to be pushed into a pocket around the edge of the screen material (2 on each on the top and bottom of the screen and 1 on each side)then you stretch the material to fit the rods within a channel in the frame. Plastic clips are then used all round the frame to hold the rod in the frame channel. It produces a nice tight screen with no visible sags or creases. This was the first frame I have assembled but I had it ready to mount on the wall within 45 minutes and I was taking it slowly! Mounting it on the wall is easy - the supplied brackets work well and it is easy to lift the assembled screen and hook it onto them.I have the screen mounted in a dedicated media room and am using a Panasonic PT-AE3000U projector, this screen works very well and gives a nice sharp, bright image with good colour reproduction and the felt covered frame is excellent at absorbing any light from the projector that over laps the screen edges. I would highly recommend this screen, far more expensive screens might give you a very slightly better image but you would have to have them side by side to notice!Ignore the 1 star review above - the dimensions given by Amazon are the screen viewing dimensions and do not include the frame, the dimensions to the the edges of the frame are 109.4" x 63.4" check out the manufacturers website for more information (which would be pretty sensible before purchasing any product, finding it didn't fit then giving it 1 star reviews....)

5Excellent screen for the price
By LaVar
The frame was extremely well packaged. Double boxed and everything was wrapped in foam so there we no dings or scratches. The screen was rolled in foam with a layer of paper to protect the screen surface then encased in a hard PVC tube. It is extremely unlikely the screen would arrive in less than pristine condition.Except for hanging the screen on the wall, it was easily assembled by one person. The frame was a heavy gauge aluminum and very stiff. The corners were extremely sturdy and frame pieces fit together very tight. The assembly instructions are easily understood. The screen material did not have any noticeable imperfections and was completely wrinkle free when mounted. One complaint, my screen was missing two plastic anchors for mounting the screen to the frame. I will contact the manufacturer tomorrow and ask for a few spares. The frame was easily mounted to the wall and the brackets allow for easy left to right (horizontal) adjustment. The screen seems to be firmly attached to the wall. This is my first projector screen. Previously I projected directly on a painted wall. (A painted wall works better than you might expect.) The new screen was worth the money that I spent. I checked several stores and the Elite screen costs significantly less than their competitors. The Elite screen is vastly superior to the painted wall; I wish I would have purchased this screen sooner. The ambient light in the room can be much brighter than was previously possible. Finally, the movies look much better. Now that I have a screen, I like my projector more. The colors are rich and vibrant and dark scenes are more distinct than they ever were.

5Excellent Quality. So much for so little. Buy it!
By Oicto
Having invested your hard-earned cash in a home cinema projector, you might be thinking twice about whether or not you need a projector screen. Well, don't think about it anymore. You simply cannot realize your projector's full potential without a projector screen. Some people "make do" (using a wall instead). While the result is somewhat passable on a wall (depending on the quality of your projector) the difference between a wall and a projector screen is night and day. When Best Buy wanted to sell me a "cine grey" screen for $2,500, I wondered if the Elite screen would be sub-standard in some way. I can tell you that it isn't. There's a difference between a wall and a white screen and the difference is worth paying for. The same is true with the difference between a white screen and a high quality cine-grey screen. Once you reach this level of quality, the law of diminishing returns applies. That is, you do not continue to get dollar-for-dollar value the more you spend. This Elite screen is simply awesome. It is incredibly well made and solid. All interconnecting parts are made of anodized aluminum or steel - no plastic in sight. The surround is almost 3" thick and has a beautiful black velour covering that is 100% light absorbing. The 1.0 gain cine-grey screen is also very high quality and is tensioned across the frame for complete uniformity. The screen took about 30 minutes to assemble and about another 20 minutes to hang it on the wall. All parts needed are included.I painted my home theater in a high quality "grey brick" color which is also light absorbing (Valspar premium egg-shell). The Elite screen looks awesome on the wall and the image quality is nothing short of amazing. Colors are vibrant, sharp and crystal clear. What's amazing to me is the price. Frankly, knowing no better, I would've paid a lot more for this screen (I paid $468 from Amazon at the time of sale). At the original price of $800, this screen is still worth every cent. As a sub $500 screen it's almost embarrassing to pay so little to get so much.

3Overall a decent purchase
By R. Richardson
Pros:Very solid. I am 6' 2" 230lbs and have been training for 15yrs and feel comfortable on this machine regardless of how heavy I go.Great range of excercises that can be performed. the top attachment allows me to place the wide grip bar included in it and perform chinups. The footbar for seated cable rows also allows support to do situps.Minimal footprint. fits in the corner of my bedroom.Cons:Sparse directions. I am fairly machanically inclined but had trouble with the direction which was basically just a diagram. The completion of the pulley system should have had it's own set of directions.Too short for taller users. If you are over 6' like me you will have trouble with the range of motion not being long enough on back excercises. I believe in a very full range of motion and sometimes have trouble even at the gym though.Friction. The attachement for the weight slides along grabs preventing a smooth movement as one would be accustomed to from the gym. I'd noticed the gym machines have a fitting for a gease gun to keep their weight attachments lubricated. I greased the bar the weight attachement slides along and viola it eliminated much of the sticking and the movement was better. Again no mention of this in the directions.Overall I am happy with my purchase and use my machine regularly. If I could change one thing I would lower the seat 2 to 3 inches which would eliminate the range of motion problem for taller lifters.

4Pro lat pulldown
By Reader 45
Firstly, be sure to understand this ships as 2 packages and may not come on the same day. I was not aware of this, most likely my own fault, but don't be alarmed if you get what you think is the machine and you are missing the two tall beam attachments. However, there is no tracking information so one simply has to wait till both eventually arrive.Once all parts arrive putting it together is pretty simple. However, be aware that you must feed the pulley cord through before installing the pulleys. This should be intuitive but I took a second look and hope I am not the only one who paused at this point. This took about 2 hours to un-box, check the parts and put together. I used a ratchet set and surmise not using one would take much, much longer. The pulleys run well and do not create an overwhelming amount of friction. So far both bars that were included have held up nicely (Some lat-pulldown bars are cheap and bend). I am 6'4'' 250 and the range of motion is fine for lat-pulldowns, triceps extensions, seated row, upright row, and curls. Also, because of the plates near the seated row, or where you would stand for curls, pushdowns, etc. the machine does not tilt, move etc. as I have read about with others. the only time I can't get a full range of motion is when trying to do behind the neck pulldowns, which i am not a fan of anyway. Also, make sure you position the seat correctly or it will feel short and bunched, I made this mistake when I first put it in not realizing my error. Regarding weight, this machine has proved to take at least 3 45lb plates on each side, I can't lift more at this time but it feels like the machine is sturdy enough to take more. Thus, this machine works great. One should, however, purchase olympic adapters if using olympic size plates.Lastly, for what you get the price is well worth it seeing as the machine allows for many isolated movements without changing anything other than maybe the weight and a bar. It is worth it simply as a triceps pushdown and curl machine. I would recommend this due to is versatility and sturdiness. As to long term use I can not attest to as of now.

5Well Made Equipment
By Matthew Peters
After assembling and using this piece of equipment for several weeks I have to say I am very pleased with this purchase. It is a very stout piece of equipment. The assembly instructions could be better (not very detailed, only an exploded assembly drawing and a package contents quantity list were included). I wished the plate posts were 2" rather than 1" but that isn't a flaw in the equipment. Also, be mindful if you are doing standing curls to remove the seat, I didn't the first time and the friction wore a hole in the seat edge.

5Solid, Easy to Use Home Gym
By D. Grant
Bought this from a local supplier after talking to several salesmen and doing some test drives. This machine is not the typical, flimsy, entry-level crap you see at chain stores - it is built more like commercial gym equipment (not surprising, as Body Solid is a major commercial gym supplier) Lots of steel square tubing and 1/2" bolts here. All exercises are connected to a single weight stack with the usual weight pin via a clever system of interconnected pulleys and cables. The mechanical advantage provided varies by station, meaning that the weight felt at a given station can be higher or lower than the actual weight stack - meaning that many exercises can offer different weights to different muscle groups without having to change the weight pin.All settings on the machine (seat height, etc) are adjusted via spring-loaded, captured pop-pins, just like commercial equipment. As a nice touch, the seat has an integral gas cylinder that makes height adjustment easy with no wrestling with the machine. Re-configuration between exercises is kept to a minimum, and what little is required can be done in a matter of seconds. This isn't a machine that requires major setup changes between exercises, meaning more time exercising and less time futzing with the machine. As far as exercises go, you get a solid set of basic stations (where, like a dedicated single-use machine) the intended exercise is immediately obvious: chest press, leg extensions/lifts, pectoral flies, pulldowns, forward row, weighted crunches, and a bar that can be used for lifts/bicep curls. There are also a series of secondary uses for each station where the use isn't immediately obvious (and in some cases, a little awkward) but where, admittedly, other muscle groups can be worked. For those looking to establish a good basic weight training regimen, and where you don't have easy access to a full gym, this is a great machine that gets the job done with little to no tradeoffs involved with this being a "home" gym; it really is a very impressive bit of engineering. The one fly in the ointment is the assembly instructions. The instructions as given are clear and comprehensive, and the hardware for assembling the machine is bagged individually per step. But the design of the machine has materially changed several times without the instructions being updated. In some cases, whole parts have been deleted (with the hardware being changed to reflect the change) in others, subassemblies (the main seat) now come pre-assembled but still have the old hardware bags, leaving surplus hardware.I was able to suss it all out - but I also have a mechanical background. I can see how anyone hoping to just follow instructions could wind up hopelessly lost and frustrated in very short order. If you are not particularly mechanically adept, find a friend who is.Overall, I'm very impressed with this product.

2Good gym but bad quality assurance by Body Solid
By Jeffrey Baker
The Body Solid G5S is a nice gym but I think Body Solid has some quality check issues. I think I need to blame Body Solid and not the seller, Serious Steel, because I believe that the gym was drop shipped from Body Solid. It took 12 days to receive the gym after I ordered it. It then took 24 hours to assemble the gym. I spent three days, 8 hours apiece putting it together. But then I still couldn't use the gym properly after it was assembled until about another 15 days later. Let me explain why.1. It took 3 days (24 hours) to assemble the gym because since the instruction manual was written Body Solid has changed the gym at least a dozen times. Instead of printing a new manual they enclose about 4 addendums to the manual. So you have to go back and forth and it is very confusing. But there are some changes that they decided not to tell the owner about, so you are looking for parts that are stated in the manual but the parts are different or are already attached. It would have been much quicker if they had told you that they had attached some parts already, instead of causing me to search for 30 minutes among hundreds of parts. (On a side note: It probably would have been about 5 hours quicker to assemble the gym if I had more help assembling it. But I was doing it by myself except for I hasd someone help me balance the very first two parts: The main base frame and the rear base frame)2. After you assemble the whole gym THEN the manual instructs you to attach certain pulleys. Well, the main pulley attachment that is welded on to the main base frame was welded on crooked so the holes for the bolt were crooked. It was very difficult to get the pulley bolted in and it sat crooked so that the pulley rubbed against the metal. I contacted Body Solid but they took so long to get back to me that I went ahead and installed the cable. Eventually they sent me a new main base frame, but since it is the first part of the gym I would have to disassemble the entire gym and reassemble it to install it. Instead the pulley is rubbing and the cable is slightly crooked so that the resistance is more than it should be.3. Next, the very last cable needs to be installed and the very last pulley needs to be installed for the cable. Well, the pulley attachment on the leg extension did not have a bolt hole or a bolt to hold the last cable in place. I figured that it was another one of those parts that Body Solid changed without stating it in the manual. So I routed the cable above the pulley because it held in place there. But this caused the cable to rub against the leg extension and caused it to start shredding. So Body Solid eventually sent me a leg extension with the proper holes and bolts and a new cable. I had to take off the old parts and install the new.Now the gym works pretty well except for the resistance is more than it should be because of a crooked pulley. I fear that eventually I'll have to reassemble the entire gym. I would have rated the Body Solid G5S gym about 4 stars if Body Solid's quality assurance was better.

5awesome
By Brian
Years ago back in the late 80's early 90's competed in bodybuilding and now at age 38 working on getting back in that shape or better. One of my strongest parts was legs and did many squats to get my legs where they used to be. But over the years I kind of slacked off due to lower back pain due to straight bar squats not to mention it took 8 sets to feel much of anything. With being 6' tall it is hard to really isolate and get that perfect burn in the legs. I can honestly say that since I got this machine I absolutely love it. It only took 1 set to give me the burn I have been after all these years and absolutely no back pain. It helps put you in the exact perfect position.. Not only is this great for squat but also for calves and shrugs.. Extremely durable... It is commercial rated and I sure wish I would have had access to this when I was in my late teens and early 20's.. With Body Solid you get commercial quality at affordable prices..

5Build some legs
By M. Emerson
I haven't had this long, enough for just a couple leg workouts and about 6 calf workouts, but I think I have enough experience with it to share my thoughts. The first thing I noticed is that it takes a little getting used to. With plates on it there is a little work just to get under the pads and the feet into the proper spot on the angled foot plate. I'm not that tall (5'11") but I still have to squat way down to get into position but its not that terrible. I suppose if your very tall you might find that somewhat uncomfortable. Ive read reviews of the Powertec leverage squat and a taller reviewer said he had issues with it so maybe its just something you go through with these types of machines. Now to the important part...the workout. First off the angled foot plate allows for multiple foot positions which is great because you can work your legs slightly differently depending on foot position. One thing that took some getting used to is leaning back into the pads that go behind your back. With your feet on the angled plate you almost have to lean back into those pads, which felt odd to me, but it makes for a comfortable lifting position. While lifting your back feels totally removed from the move which in a traditional squat the back is highly involved. There is an adjustable pin to determine how low you can go into the movement, I personally put it lower because I like to go deeper into the move. Its very comfortable though, Id almost compare it to more of a leg press or hack squat feeling than a squat because its that much easier on the back than a regular squat.Calves are good to work with this. The calf block isnt quite high enough to get a really deep stretch at the bottom but its curved and doesnt dig into your foot like a square block would.Okay there are a few quirks to this item that I should go into. The directions suck! Fortunately I bought this item from a local distributor and they did the assembly but go to the bodysolid site and look at the manual. Yep, no step by step instructions just an exploded view diagram. No usage instructions in the manual either although use isn't so complicated you cant figure it out. My main issue is with the locking pin. There's a lever that you move and I don't know if its just me but it seems that to get into the exercise I lift the weight then have to deal with that start-stop lever, rep out then deal with it yet again. Maybe I'm just not used to it but it seems sort of awkward to use with a few hundred pounds on your back.Overall though its probably the best product for what it is for. Just be sure you have enough weights to use because I'm sure that you can build some big legs and calves with the help of this machine!PS: shop around for the best price

3Good Machine but Somewhat Limited
By Charles Whitlatch
I bought this squat machine with the intent of getting some serious leg and buttock exercise while taking it easy on my knees which had gotten more painful in recent years. For that goal, I am pleased with the machine. It's reasonably sturdy and has enough weight capacity for a decent workout. That said, it does have some shortcomings and nuisance issues that decrease its potential value. While I find the angled platform great for reducing knee stress, it's a little too narrow in my opinion and I am taking the entire width up while wishing for the ability to take a slightly wider stance. Another 12 inches of width and a slightly more solid mount would have been greatly appreciated. The lever used to lock the shoulder assembly in the upper position is, as someone else reported, a real hassle to operate easily. After 8 workouts with the machine, I still have trouble releasing the lever. Replacing the lever at the end of a set is a little better but still far from being as simple and smooth as it should be. Although some of the information I saw indicated that the weight capacity was as high as 800 lbs, the bars holding the weights are far too short for that unless you have some 100 lb. plates. There's no way to load more than six 45 lb. plates on each side so 540 lbs. is about all you can expect. That's probably more than enough for me as I only use 250 lbs. currently but it's still a major limitation in my mind. Another 3 inches of bar length on each side would be about right. As for the calf capability, it's a little too limited in stance and exercise options to be a really capable calf machine. It's definitely better than nothing and gives you a lot of stability but it's not anyhing to rave about. All in all, I will continue to use the machine as I think it does have good value for those people like me who need to be careful of avoiding knee stress but I'm sure glad I got it at a great Amazon price as I don't think it's worth any more than that.

5Does exactly what is advertised
By Jeff True
I wanted to get a good quality row machine. I've owned Body-Solid equipment in the past and love their "Lifetime Warranty". The box is rather heavy, but not so bad that you can't move it by yourself. Free shipping on an item like this, plus the 40% off makes it a steal. The instructions to assemble this are terrible. They give you two sheets to make sure you received all the parts, then another sheet just showing a full overview of how things go together. No words. I've put things like this together before, so no big deal for me, but for someone inexperienced, it may be a small challenge. It'll take about an hour to assemble. The quality of the machine is what I expected. It'll hold up for several years. Then once/if any of the parts start to wear out, just call up Body-Solid and order replacement parts....LIFETIME WARRANTY!!!I was able to do my first workout on the machine the same day I put it together. I was sore the next day...it works! Overall motion was fluid and easy to adjust. I highly recommend the adapter sleeves for Olympic plates, unless you have Standard plates.Packaging - B-Instructions - CQuality - AWarranty - A+Usability - A+Overall - A-

4Very Quality Machine
By JayHampton
The package arrived quickly. A few days before estimated as usual but the package was in rough shape. Assembly took about an hour by myself and went very smoothly with good instructions and some mechanical ability. My only complaint is that a couple of the plastic knobs were broken, but it doesn't really affect the functionality. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This product is by far the best design ... sturdy enough for the serious lifter and has a lifetime warranty. The only negative was no assembly instructions ... only a picture of parts ... I managed to put it together but could have been much easier with instructions.

5Awesome gun
By Sean Mcgrath
I recieved my marker one week after purchase thats especialy impresive since im outside the main 48 states. I am so crazy excited about this gun. straight out of the box i shot 500rds with not a single foul-up. no double feed's, ball break's,chop's, abnormal misfires, NOTHING! I must warn you, the gun is a bit of a gas hog do to the cyclone system. So be prepared if your going to be in a long fire-fight.The Flatline barrel lived up to its promise and delivered what i've believe to be one of the most accurate barrel systems, Even when the wind was picking up. the a5 is an extremely durable / configurable marker, top of the line and easy to maintain. the flatline barrel not only looks great but when aligned properly and used with the correct velocity it adds that extra range without losing accuracy. this is a great package at the best price around; not a single complaint.

4MOLLE Medium USMC Assualt Backpack Pack-OD GREEN
By MARTY
I was very happy with this pack. the only thing i didnt like was that it was a little small on the arm straps. it is kind of hard to take off sometimes but its ok because it has a latch on each armstrap you can unbuckle. i havnt taken it out into the great outdoors yet but it seems very durable and the zippers seem pretty heavy duty. for what im going to be using it for it will need to be heavy duty so if it turns out to not be, i will be adding another review.
