While looking for something else, I came across these blankets again and noticed some of them still do not have any reviews.I have bought one back in '09 and wrote a review about it, but that color (beautiful light baby blue) has been disconnected, so the review is not around anymore to be seen.Since this particular blanket does not have any review yet, I will re-write my original one and post it here, even though my blanket was of a different color.The primary reason for my purchase was the need for an "in-between" bedspread.For most of the year I only need a light cotton blanket or quilt on top of my sheet during the night, since I live in reasonably warm and humid climate.There are several weeks (couple of months at the most) during the winter when it gets cold enough for a down filled comforter on top of the cotton quilt. And then there are couple of weeks in the fall and sometimes in the spring, where its too cold for just a cotton duvet but not cold enough for a down filled one.The ideal was to find a blanket that was just right, neither too light nor too heavy and hot. However I soon found out there were not many options out there. Either frumpy looking scratchy and heavy plaid wool blankets or plethora of "soft plush microfiber" ones. Since I cannot stand any synthetic materials, the polyester was not an option.That's when I started looking on Amazon and discovered this gem. It is very attractive looking and snuggly... does not add any bulk to the bed and even though lightweight, it still provides enough warmth to keep me warm and comfortable during the night.And since it is natural fiber, it breathes and I never get sweaty underneath.I have had mine for little over three years and during all this time it has kept its shape. It does pile a little, but not too horribly bad and does not have the little sticky balls stuck all over it.So far it withstood the test of time, I love it and would definitely recommend anyone to buy it.

FRAUD, not Alpaca

This blanket is not Alpaca, but some sort of polyester. When I burned a few fibers, they turned into a little hard ball, not ash, and did not smell like fur or hair. The description for this item is fraudulent. Amazon should ban this seller.Also, the blanket does not look like the photo. The photo has an appealing color variation that makes it look natural. The actual blanket is entirely uniform in color.After going round&round with the website, I chose the option to call Amazon. They answered quickly, and Melissa sorted out everything and sent me a return label, and the blanket will go back on Monday.
