Can't go wrong with a Pelican

I own several Pelican cases. When I saw the options for cases for my MacBook, I knew that this case would be just what I needed.The MacBook 13.3" fits snugly inside the case. The case says 13" notebooks, but the extra width of the MacBook is accepted. The case is shipped with small foam large and small spacers. I used the large spacers but placed them inside the top lid of the case so that the notebook screen wouldn't be opened when I opened the Pelican.I don't have any worries now when I toss my notebook into a backpack and travel. I felt uneasy about having to take my notebook out of my Pelican 1510 carry-on case when gate-checking my carry-on luggage for small regional jets.

Excellent MacBook case

I have had my MacBook for 18 months, during which time it has lived mainly in its neoprene sleeve from Incase. I have used it lightly, handled it gently, and moved it out of the house rarely (at most once per week). It has been transported, in this Incase sleeve, inside my padded bookbag, with at most 1 or 2 other paperback books, nothing major.And yet the MacBook has developed many fine hairline cracks--along corners, radiating from the Apple logo, etc. Not highly noticeable, but unacceptable. I appreciated that the Incase sleeve is minimalist--but really, it offers no cushion and no support at all in the most sensitive areas of the laptop: the wide, unbuttressed single-layer plastic sheet behind the LCD screen and the corners of the notebook. If I had kept the laptop in a computer bag, this might not have been a problem. But if I had bought a computer bag, why would I have bought the neoprene sleeve?For those of you in a similar situation to mine--you would rather do without a bulky computer bag (easily recognized as such, no less)--I would recommend this Pelican case.The arguments -against- the Pelican case are these:--It will consume much more volume in your bag than the flimsy Incase sleeve.--It lacks a carrying handle.--It seems a little over-the-top.--It's a little difficult to open.The arguments -for- the Pelican case are these:--It is, really, a very small case considering its efficacy.--It will still fit inside your bookbag nicely.--Its "over-the-top" protection may just save you another $1500 for a new MacBook, or at least a few hundred in premature repairs or data-recovery due to physical damage.--It won't open without your permission.None of the other hard plastic MacBook cases offer the same level of protection. All the translucent shells leave every port gleefully unprotected--moisture, dirt and dust, all can go right in. Would you carry your laptop through the rain in that? Even the Incase sleeve is full of vent-holes along the edges--Why?Admittedly, there are a couple moulded foam cases which do seem to offer some protection--the Booq Vyper, for instance. The Booq case is a little lighter, much flimsier, costs the same--but might suit some tastes. I have not seen many raving reviews.A note for MacBook owners: the width of the MacBook will fit very snugly into the case, with little to no room for padding on that axis. For this reason, purchase the case model with the pick-n-pluck foam. The padding will need a bit of tweaking to suit your Mac. I feel assured that my MacBook is very well protected in that dimension, as well.Very satisfied.

Just so everyone is aware, this case will NOT fit the Macbook Pro 13". All the reviewers who said otherwise are incorrect and it is highly annoying, so if you don't want to return this item don't buy it.

Don't be fooled, this is not what you get in the supermarket

Like so many things in Italy, the Italians have elevated this vinegar-making to high art.This product, "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia", is made from cooked grape "must" that is aged over many years while it is transfered into ever smaller barrels of different woods. Through this aging and evaporation process, this product matures into a very unique "condimento".After a minimum of 12 years, a sample of this product is given to a consortium where it is evaluated against the standard for "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia". If approved, this product can be given a "silver label" = 12 years old, a "red label" = 25 years old and then there is this current product, a "gold label" 50 to 75 to 100 years old. The consortium places the product in their unique bottle and then, and only then, can the product carry the name "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale."There is not a simple way to describe the taste other that to say "if you have ever tasted vinegar, it is NOTHING like that." This is a product that used in drops on fine cheese or over perfectly ripe strawberries or just drizzled over a perfectly cooked porterhouse steak.You do not make salad dressing from this product!The Italians categorize this product as a "digestivo" (after dinner drink to aid digestion) or a "condimento", used as I described above.All you have to do is have a nice person put 2 drops on your tongue, then you will understand everything I've written above.

Best Bread knife for the price

This is probably the best brea knife ever at this price. the only better knives I have tried are the Shun Classic and Shun Elite bread knives both have the same design as this one but are thinner and sharper but at %50 to %100 more money. when it comes to handles the messermeister have the best handles HANDS DOWN nothing feels as good in your hands as a messermeister

Excellent Knife

Bought this knife to continue my collection of the San Moritz knives, and I have to say it's an amazing tool. The knife is mildly heavy, however it is well balanced and feels good in the hand. The heft also increases the the knives' ability to easily and quickly slice through anything that's thrown at it. Overall a great knife, well worth the price.

Probably one of my favorite Spidey costumes

The Marvel Select line is one of the better lines for figures that are meant for display and not so much for actual playing. I love the Iron Spider suit and really wanted to add this to my collection. The figure really looks nice even without the "arms" the suit has in the comics. Since he's just a repaint of the Symbiote Spider-Man, you can see on his hands where the web shooters are from the original. He's very articulate and his base is nice looking too. It looks very nice with my other Select figures.

Really Like Case

Every Case knife I have ever bought was great. The best part is they are made in the USA. With the Hobo gift set I was very pleased with the knife and the sheath. I used to smoke for many years and have had and still have a small collection of collectable Zippos and this one dosen't look like one of the better ones. It seems to be thin metal and where the hinge is spot welded on it is a bit rough.(it is shiney though) Also, this is suppose to be a collectable gift set and the lining to hold the pieces in the box is thin plastic I'd rather it be molded foam and mine came cracked around where the knife sets in. Overall,The knife and sheath I give 5 stars the rest of it brought down my score a bit.

Brilliant Center Channel Sound

I was looking to replace my center channel speaker for a speaker that would be true to the higher pitched sounds required to enjoy a well balanced system. JBL has always had a reputation for quality and this speaker is no exception. Wow what a difference this speaker has made to my enjoyment of DVD's and TV. Voices are clear and sharp. This speaker exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it.

JBL LC1 Awesome speaker

I bought the JBL LC1 as a replacement center channel speaker to replace an old one gone bad.(not JBL) The frequency response and power handling ability are great. My wife and I find voices/etc coming from the center channel more defined, fuller and clearer. I chose JBL because of good reviews and a JBL Sub-Woofer I purchased last year, it is also mind blowing (and ear shattering!)If you are buying this speaker for a center channel make sure you have the room, it is not small. 10 x 21 x 7.5 inches & 23 pounds. If you have the room for three I would suggest all front speakers, you would not be disappointed!JBL LC1 3-Way, High Performance Dual 5 -1/4-Inch Center Channel Loudspeaker (Black)

Pelican 1650NF - sold via image of 1654.

Once again, I did not receive what I believed I was ordering. The image is a Pelican 1654 NOT a 1650. They are different units. The 1650 itself is disappointing in that it does not stand straight on it's side (which a 1654 does) nor does it have the long handle shown in the picture (which a 1654 does). That longer handle is a nice feature when the box is heavy, and has to be handled alone. I would have returned it, except that 1) it was a gift, and the receiver deemed it sufficient; and 2) the 1654 is priced considerably higher. Note that I knew what I wanted by sight, but not by model number, so I was easily mislead by the inclusion of the wrong picture. One has to know about the 1654 to find it - even on the Pelican site which also (incorrectly) shows the 1654 when listing/presenting the 1650.

One Impressive Knife!.

I've looked for an old-fashioned butcher knife for years but they must be as scarce as hen's teeth. When I first saw this knife I thought it would be too large and almost passed it by. It is large but I've used it a number of times in the short time since purchasing it. It is incredibly sharp (always a good thing!) and handles well even in my relatively small hand. I'm happy to have it in my kitchen.

Excellent shower head

We tried these powerful shower heads in a Hilton Hotel and were impressed, so when we returned home I ordered two (one for my master bath and one for my guest suite). Both are performing outstanding! In fact, the side benefit is the significant water savings. My master bath has a roman style shower and area, water used to flood the entire floor and entry area -- now the entry area floor is nearly dry, but the force of the shower is greater than my old shower heads. Well worth the money. An excellent product easy to install and operate!

Low flow High Satisfaction

Having gone through several 2.5 gpm shower heads looking for one that met my needs I finally found this one. Though rated at just 1.7 gpm it puts out better presser than any 2.5 gpm shower head I have used. The spray pattern discharges the water in such a fashion that when taking a hot shower a steam sauna effect is created (make sure your exhaust fan is on).The only drawback I have noted is that I have had to increase the amount of hot water vs cold water that I use to take a shower that "feels" the same temperature as with my last shower head. With the lower 1.7 gpm rate I have not seen an increase in my gas bill for the higher temperature. And I have been able to have more showers taken on a single tank of hot water.

Good low flow shower head - Name is misleading

This shower head really makes a lot of noise. I expected something special with "Spa" in the name, but there is nothing spa about it, unless you are relaxed by a loud white noise. This shower head does really well for low water pressure. If your water pressure is fine or if you are not wanting a water saving shower head, try something else.

Item arrived very quickly. It is of very good quality plastic. The instructions are good. But it helps if one had done it before. Took about 30 minutes to install.

Works very well for a while, poor warranty service

The Oxygenics Body Spa Handheld worked for a while and then the hose developed a leak - the chrome cover has in fact rolled off, exposing the plastic tubing.The Oxygenics customer service people claim that that the unit is only warranteed on the clogging! So much for their lifetime warranty!.The unit stopped working after about 6 months of normal use. Would strongly discourage from buying this defective product.

The showerhead is probably a better choice as it has fewer moving parts and is installed in many of the larger hotels (MGM Grand in Las Vegas for instance).

The good points:- when it works, the pressure of the water is really good- does leave you feeling energized- looks sleek and 'luxurious' with no visible plastic stuff

The bad points:- defective handheld units - hold on to your receipts!- bad customer service and warranty- poorly designed plastic tubing inside the unit - prone to failure and leaks

Great water pressure

I got this showerhead because my boyfriend complained about lack of water pressure and I had seen it reviewed in a catalog that features higher end products.I found the reviews here helpful but wanted to add a little information to the mix.It really does increase the water pressure. Particularly at the top of the spray. This is great for shampoo rinsing. The spray fans out significantly and I find that I have to use the hand-held feature to adequately rinse soap from the lower half of my body. This is not a problem if you opt for the model with a hose. The design of the showerhead makes it very comfortable to hold.Shower times also seem to be reduced since we began using it.When I turned the shower off after the first use, I noticed that I really was running less than 1/2 the water volume as compared with my old showerhead. I was actually surprised at the reduction in water use.For some reason, unkonwn to me, it seems to have a lag time when I adjust the water temperature during the shower. I didn't think a 60 inch hose could account for that much lag. But, maybe it does.The only significant down side I found is the noise level. I know that sounds odd but, all the air mixing apparently makes noise. In this respect, it does remind me of a hotel showerhead. They always seem loud to me.Since the spray pattern fans out so much, it wets down most of the shower surfaces. This makes spraying the shower with mildew/cleaner more effective. More water on the surfaces to distribute the cleaner. So, that automatic sprayer gadget I bought is really wonderful now.I hope this information is helpful to anyone considering this purchase. It's not perfect but definitely solves water pressure issues and is easy to install and use. I would definitely purchase it again.

Worth the price

I was looking for a replacement for my old "Shower Massage" that would consume less water. The old model sucked up 7.5 gallons per minute. This one uses a maximum of 2.5 gpm. For standard, non-hose variety shower heads, I found lots of alternatives. This one was one of the few that has a hose extension, which I prefer to help me clean the shower stall.Teflon tape was included in the package, which made installation much easier--I didn't have to go out and buy a pack of that. Put it together without any trouble, though I do confess to reading the directions. What was not included was a full description of the flow regulator, which can turn the water completely off while you lather up, should you so desire. When I first turned on the water to check my installation, the flow regulator was in the "off" position of the twist. This was a little alarming. Was forced to use grey cells to figure out what the problem was.Now, having used this product, I would recommend it to anyone and fully intend to purchase it for my parents and sister. Absolutely a GREAT shower.
