A review, 5 years after purchase . . .

I haven't left many reviews but, five years after purchasing this faucet, having installed it myself, I feel compelled to share my experience...In the course of installing it, I really stressed this thing out. I did everything wrong, but ended up with a functioning and beautiful faucet nonetheless. Five years later, the handle began to weep water at the base whenever I turned it on. This, according to a youtube video, was probably the result of a bad cartridge. I'd long since lost my receipt or packaging, but a google image search quickly turned up the model number. This is where Moen proved their excellence (and earned this 5 star rating) ... I called 800-289-6636 and spoke to a nice woman who, after getting some information from me, told me the replacement cartridge would be shipped right away, free of charge. She said I'd have it by the 21st, and I received it today, three days early. Installation was fairly straightforward and the problem is solved.When Moen says their faucets carry a lifetime guarantee, they mean it. Now, I will always purchase an item from Moen, if it's an available option to me. This kind of service counts, especially these days.One piece of advice... The lady at Moen told me that she'd have preferred that I call from home so that I could answer an identifying question about the faucet. I'd called from my office. She let me know that that could be an issue if I ever had to call again, but cheerfully agreed to ship the item at that point (even after I told her I'd be happy to call when I'd returned home from work.)In case Amazon bleeps out Moen's toll free number, it's one eight hundred, two eight nine, six six three six. Thanks, Moen.

Every Silver Lining has a Dark Cloud

We purchased this product 4 years ago as a kitchen improvement.Honestly, we love the look and feel, the texture, the functionality, the warranty... So why the 2 stars?This product has a tragic flaw (see our product image) in the easy to use quick-connect hoses.Yeah, they make installation a little faster and eliminate the need for a couple small tools.But they also create the weakest link in the design. The problem is the sprayer hose interferes with the hose between the valve and the faucet, tangles, and breaks the quick-connect cheap plastic fitting. It is a link that has failed us twice in 3 years dumping water under the sink like a child's backyard water toy until you realize what has happened and shut the water down...So long as we have had metal fixtures and copper (or even plastic hoses with metal fixtures) we have never had a failure like this.Of course the easy hose with the cheap plastic quick-connect covered in the lifetime warranty, but if you can't wait a week you will need to pay for overnight shipping. We have had to do this twice in 3 years - which seems to be really high maintenance for a kitchen sink.

excellent faucet

functional and good looking. I opted for the stainless steel finish. I especially like the high rise that allows for large pots in the sink.
