it's ok
By Gina J
I bought this for my 2 and 4 yr olds. It was easy to click together but it has screws to make it more stable and was hard to screw by hand. It's cute but there is nothing inside but a little shelf that is supposed to act as a stove top, with a couple stickers that look like burners. The description said fireplace inside, the inside wall of the house just has what is supposed to be a fireplace, not a sticker, not a dif color or anything. For $[...], I don't think it was worth it. My 4 yr old was in it once. It doesn't even have a any place to put the little plastic food and utensils that came with it, so they stay on the floor. I liked the attached table but other than that, I don't think it's worth it. I wish I would have spent more and got a nicer one. My 4 yr olds head hits the roof too.

A GREAT Toddler Playhouse!
By Angela R. Neil
My husband and I put the playhouse together using a power drill and a screwdriver in about 45 minutes. My husband also screwed a small garage mat to the bottom of the playhouse so Serenity would have a floor to sweep or "vacuum".The pretend stove is small. Just like one reviewer said, more like a "little shelf" (that doubles as a base for the cordless phone), but it serves its purpose and makes the small playhouse a bit roomier.I've ordered an older model 24" Step 2 fridge to put in the playhouse so Serenity has a place to put her food. I'll probably get a little plastic crate to store her dishes to solve the problem of the lack of real cabinets. I do bring all the little items in the playhouse in at night because I don't want them getting messed up - so no cabinets isn't that big of a problem. Right now, Serenity has her Little Tikes doll high chair in the playhouse, and when I add the Step 2 fridge, there will still be plenty of room for her to play and move around. There is a molded rock fireplace, two cabinets, an oven, a microwave, floor boards, two electrical outlets, a floor lamp and a clock. I will probably try to paint them using Krylon Fusion Spray Paint to add some color and definition inside the house. The table is pretty big, and the benches are very sturdy. My 125 pound cousin sat on one and it didn't bend. I think it would've been great if the table folded down, but that's not a big deal! The door bell takes 3 AAA batteries (I used rechargeable ones) and it makes 6 cute different sounds. The bell isn't very loud, but Serenity still likes pushing it over and over! The door has a mail slot and it's real easy to swing open and close.I think it's the perfect size house that will grow with her. Serenity is 15 1/2 months old and I can see this playhouse lasting until she's 3 or 4. By then, she'll be ready to move on to a bigger house. It also teaches her how to interact with others, learn about different foods, clean, "cook", and keeps her imagination active! This is a pretty basic playhouse, but I like that. Other than the door bell, nothing else requires batteries! Nothing "talks" or makes tons of noise! I think it's the perfect playhouse for a girl OR a boy (or a girl AND a boy!) - the colors are very neutral. I'm very pleased with it and so is Serenity!UPDATE: This house survived TWO hurricanes - Ike and Gustav! I had tons of stuff to do before evacuating for BOTH hurricanes and had no time to worry about Serenity's playhouse. So we shoved it against the house between the AC unit and the screened porch and hoped for the best. When we got home after Gustav I was surprised it was still standing. Imagine my amazement when it was STILL standing after Ike! We had a tree fall on our shed and two that fell in the bayou behind the house, but somehow, this playhouse stood strong. I saw Little Tikes and Step 2 houses all along the bayous and roads of Houma - I'm so glad Serenity still has her little house!
