Seller may be bad, but the iron is GREAT!

This is a really great iron. I actually bought mine from a local retailer and I am very happy with it. I love it better than my FHI, also by Beauty Max. The previous reviewer had a problem with the seller, but I would not give this iron one star at all.

Great Product for a Low Price

Have been using this straightener for a little over 1 month now, and i love it. I have medium thick hair, and it works great on both the highest, and 2nd highest heat settings. I am able to straighten, flip, and curl hair with it. Also, straightener heats up very fast and does not pull hair. Happy with my purchase. Would recommend to others.

The h20pro styling iron works great. It really straigtens your hair. The styling iron arrived in a matter of a few days. It was in good condition. The only thing I notice about them is my hair seemed a little dry after straightening, expecially on the ends. Could be I need a trim. Other than that I really like the way they straighten my hair. I like the fact you can adjust the tempeture. I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Diaper Bag!

This is a great bag and it's size is deceptive (in a good way). I had a couple other diaper bags and I finally found the right one. One was way too large... I ended up donating that one to my mom so she'd have a diaper bag for when she's babysitting. Another was just a big abyss with no pockets at all.This one is perfect. I put three nine-ounce bottles, a three serving formula dispenser, baby food and a spoon, two burp cloths and two bibs, a few small toys, the included changing pad and my wallet in the main compartment. I put five size four diapers and a small tube of rash cream in one of the front pockets, a wipes case in the center front pocket (it's the widest) and more of my stuff in the other front pocket (cell phone, chapstick, hair ties, etc). I keep an extra outfit and, now that it's cooling off, a receiving blanket for my son in the back pocket (there are two pockets in the back of the bag, on the outside).The cell phone holder is essentially useless you have a small flip phone or bar phone... and even that might be cutting it. But, it's easy to remove since it's just held on with velcro.There is a bottle pocket, but I haven't used it yet.I really like the attached stroller clips. The too-large diaper bag that I had came with clips, but they weren't attached to the bag (you had to either leave them on the stroller and hope they didn't get lost or keep them in the bag) and they were thin rubber (which ripped through after three uses). I really like how these are attached to the bag... nothing to lose or store.The fabric of the bag is really heavy canvas and the zippers are heavy duty. They're not the cutesy (and flimsy) zippers that most bags have.I think my favorite part is the messenger style of the bag. I hate going into public bathrooms, only to find that there is nowhere to put the diaper bag. The hooks on the changing stations all seem to be long gone and only a few select stores/restaurants have thought to install a shelf or a hook on the wall. So you end up having to put your diaper bag on the floor. Ew. This bag can stay attached to the parent while you're changing diapers.So, to sum it all up. Great bag, lots of space. I can't imagine needing to take anything else for one child. I think I over-pack and there is still have plenty of space. The only negative I can come up with is the tiny cell phone holder and that's not enough for me to drop a star.

THIS BAG WE BOUGHT WHEN MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN AND IT LASTED ALL THE WAY UNTIL WE NO LONGER NEEDED IT WHICH WAS 2 YEARS LATER. WE WASHED IT AND IT NEVER FADED OR LOST ITS NICE LOOK. THIS BAG WAS MADE TO LAST A LIFETIME AND WE DONATED IT TO ANOTHER MOTHER AND SHE IS STILL USING IT 2 YEARS LATER. THIS BAG IS WELL WORTH THE PURCHASE.

Perfect diaper bag!

I've had about 3 diaper bags that really didn't meet my needs until I found this one. It has lots of room and pockets. The cell phone holder really won't fit any of the newer phones, but there are plenty of pockets to put them in. The extra pockets really gave it plenty more space and helped to organize way better than other diaper bag I've seen. I love how you can unbuckle the strap. It came in handy many times when my daughter fell asleep on my shoulder and it makes it much easier to balance the weight when carrying my daughter. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a very practical diaper bag.

Very nice tent

The Alps Mountaineering Vertex 4 is a very nice tent, with some very well engineered features and only a few complaints.When camping alone the 7.5'x8.5' floor space is very nice. When camping with a significant other, you also have enough room. However, as with any tent, you don't want to brush the walls or rain or even condensation from dew will wick through and you'll be damp in the morning. With the 4'4" height, the walls are at a fairly steep angle cutting back a little of the useable floor space. With a twin sized air mattress which puts you 6" or so off the ground, you lose 6-12" of floor space. With two twin sized air mattresses you better be on pretty close terms with your tent partner (after camping with a buddy over Memorial Day weekend, I thought about just using sleeping pads, but I'm now in the market for a larger tent for when I camp with friends). The 8"x22" pack size is nice and compact, and it is just small enough for motorcycle camping and possibly hiking.I LOVE the pole design. For the size of the tent, the aluminum poles and shock cords are quite thick and strong. It is a very sturdy tent, and while I haven't been in a storm yet, I suspect it would hold up well to some fairly stout winds. I love the hub system, makes putting it all together quite simple. In fact, with a little practice, this tent can be set up in about 5 min (not counting the pegs I had it up in about 5min my first time, though I'm not a rookie in setting up a tent).My one big complaint, lack of sufficient mesh. There is very little mesh in this tent. Maryland summers can be brutally hot and humid (the Weather Channel just rated Washington DC as #6 for worst summers of U.S. cities). By myself, my body heat can make it uncomfortable, two or more people and it is stifling. For around here, it is more a 2 season tent (spring and fall), and you can make due with it much of the winter with a good bag.Overall, I like this tent a lot. With a little more mesh it would be a great tent. Alternatively, if there was a way to close up the mesh there is, it would be better for the winter which would make it a great 4 season tent. It is easy to put up, it fits back in its stuff sack quite well, it is about typical on space for a 4 person tent (2 can be comfortable with air mattresses, 2-3 with sleep pads, 4 if you are VERY close).

ALPS Tent-Totally Impressed

GREAT TENT-GREAT BUY! Alps has a great product line I didn't know about! This tent is more than I expected-lightweight aluminum pole system set up easily, especially with the clips that fasten the tent to the pole structure. Absolutely no problem setting up the tent by myself. The fly installed easily using a simple buckle system on the four tent corners. The fly completely covers the tent so there's no drip line on the tent itself. The floor space was large enough for a double-bed-size blowup mattress plus some. The two vestibules are key storage space outside the tent and not found on many tents. The zippers work well and didn't bind at all. I pitched the tent in soft soil, but in harder soil conditions I would recommend stouter tent stakes (short top-hook aluminum come with the tent). The guying that comes with the tent for the fly works well to hold off the fly from the tent to keep condensation and moisture out of the tent. I don't think this tent is heavy at all, and would carry it in/out of a campsite without hesitation. I'll still treat the seams for moisture penetration. There are two screened openings on the sides and one at the top that you can't close, just so you know. We camped out in 40F weather and were fine with good sleeping bags and down comforters though. Enjoy!

Great 4 Person Tent!

I have not used this for camping yet, but I'm sure it'll do great! The backyard test setup was quick, took me about 7 mins to setup while the wind gusts were up to 30mph. The tent held up strong with the gusts, didn't even flex...inside the wind noise was minimal. Maybe a little overboard...but worth it

I bought this bike lock because it was the best lock on the market (according to reviews), and I figured I will very likely one day own a bike that would be worth stealing. My current bike is not THAT valuable, but I still don't want it stolen...However, now that I own the Fahgettaboudit, it's almost too much...It's definitely heavy. Wrapping it around my frame causes a noticeable weight increase, especially when leaning the bike and carrying it...plus, if I don't wrap it just right, the lock swings while I'm riding, which has clipped my ankle once (not a very pleasant feeling). The chain will crush just about anything in a backpack, and putting it on the bottom will be annoying when it comes time to take it back out...though a compartmentalized backpack would fix that. Some users say they can fit it around their waste, but when I tried I couldn't keep it on with a winter coat on to boot.Despite all this, I still highly recommend this lock. It doesn't even occur to me that someone will mess with my bike, no matter where I put it. If you own (or plan on owning) an expensive bike, there's no other way to go.For those that are wondering if you should upgrade to the 5' chain, I lock my chain to a 4x4 post, and I don't have a problem with it. If you can position your back wheel by the object, 3'3" should be long enough. I can't imagine what another foot and a half would do to the weight...

It ain't pretty anymore but I still have my bike

I live in NYC and somehow have never had my bike tampered with until last week. Left my bike locked up for around 45 minutes and when I came down the lock was beat to hell but they didn't manage to break it. Really glad I locked up both wheels. Anyway, the lock still functions just fine despite being brutalized. I think I'll send Kryptonite some cookies.

Very Heavy , Sturdy , Good against Muggers

I just received this lock today and was heavy! (15½ pounds!)While I was unlocking my bike a guy came up and tried to mug me at night at 8 PM. This guy came up to me with a knife and said give me your stuff. Before I turned I said " Oh yeah?", I then proceeded to grab the chain and lock and started swinging violently and said " What now mother f****r!", the mugger got scared , dropped his knife and ran away.Pros: StrongCons: Bulky , Heavy (15.5 pounds)

Great little camcorder

I reviewed this camcorder on another camcorde site, but not alot of people peruse that site, so I thougt I would post the review here as well.I didn't purchase this camcorder from Amazon, (but only because someone got it for me as a gift from another store) but when I was looking for advice on this camcorder it was hard to find.I'm putting my review here in hopes that it helps someone who wants to buy this camcorder but cannot find any helpful reviews on this camcorder, because it's so new.Here it is....Okay, since the place that the camera was bought from has a great return policy, I thought I would open it up to see just how good or bad it was.Let me say that I am by no means qualified to compare pixels, low light, etc etc etc...my review is based on my being a father and amateur that just wanted a easy point and shoot camcorder that records pictures and movies in great quality.Upon opening this camera, let me say that it's the smallest thing I've ever seen. It would fit into a fabric sunglass bag (oakleys), that's how small it is.I shot movies outside in full sunlight and inside during the day and the movies came out great!I also tried to shoot in low light situation and it worked pretty good as well. I have nothing to compare it to, but whatever I shot looked pretty good.I also tried it at night time and this is where it was kinda weak. Alot of details couldn't be seen, but being that it was Christmas, I took it to our local city hall and shot the surrounding decorations and I could see everything on my t.v.The night time shooting is decent if there is sufficient ambient light. I did notice that when I shot video in almost complete darkness (streetlights only) I couldn't make out any details. The zoom was plenty fast and most of all (to me anyway) the performance was great.Overall, picture quality was AWESOME....I don't know where the other reviewers (especially on Amazon) are shooting their videos but I was very impressed with my video quality.Now, this doesn't say that it's perfect.There are some definite flaws to this camera.The battery for one. The battery will (according to the manual) shoot for about 20-30 minutes with all the zooming and stuff. I shot for about 10 minutes and I had no problems, but if I had to shoot all day without a spare, I wouldn't be happy about it. I thought that this was way too short. I wouldn't have minded so much if they sold an extended life battery but they don't (heck you can't even find a spare battery for sale, anywhere!)Also, to take a picture, you have to push a button and switch from Video mode to Picture mode, and this takes approximately 1-2 seconds to switch over. I really didn't like that feature.Since I don't have a high Definition dvd player, I had to hook the camcorder to my t.v. to watch the movies in hi-def and to do this, you have to open the lcd screen and plug the cables into the side of the camera.The unfortunate thing about this camera was the format in which it records to. I have to agree with a lot of people that this new hi def format is a killer for most computers. I have a PIV 3.2 with 2 gigs of ram and while trying to make a movie in hi def, my computer would lock up and take forever to process the movie. However, if you convert it back to SD using the cyberlink software that is provided, you will notice that it looks almost as good as the hi def with half the processing time.Since this is the format that most hi def camcorders are using, I don't see how anyone can fault Samsung for it.So here are my pros and cons for this camcorder;Pros;Size....fits in the palm of my hand and it's super lightPerformance/video quality....awesome, great qualityCost....about 300 dollars cheaper than the Canon I'm going to get in the futureMedia...records to a 8 gb internal memory or you can use sd cards to record tolooks....looks coolEase of use...touch screen, easy menus, point and shoot, perfect for those that don't want to have to learn how to use a gazillion different functions just to take videos of their kids...Cons;Battery...small, does not last, and unable to find xtra batteriesPhotos...unable to take snap shot during video recording..takes too long to switch overUse..ridiculous that you have to open LCD just to hook up cables to t.v.Requirements...not the cameras fault, but still, I'm unable to watch the videos I shot on my computer and you will need a newer computer just to process the data. This HI Def format is great, but I would wait a bit for more support for it.Would I recommend it...heck yeah! BUT....only if your computer can handle the processing (unless you just want to convert it to SD, then it doesn't matter). For the money and for what it can do, it's a great little camera.Did I keep it...No, but only because of the fact that my computer obviously couldn't handle the files and since I don't have a high def dvd player (yet) I didn't want to keep plugging the darn thing into my t.v. just to watch it in hi def. The battery life was a small factor as well. My friend has a Sony hdd camcorder and he has an extended battery on it that will last for almost 4 hours (he says so) and that makes me want one that will last that long as well.I'm going to wait until the support for hi def is more readily available and I also wanted the capabilities to record for longer than 1 hour without having to buy a bunch of SD cards...a hdd camcorder will not incur any additional costs to do so.Eventually, I will buy a hi def camcoder, and who knows, in the future maybe I'll buy this one again if the price drops and more parts are available for it...i.e. batteries..Hope this insight helps someone who is considering this camcorder, because it really is a cool little camcorder that records videos well.Thanks for everyones advice on this matter...

Differing opinion

I do not fully agree with the previous posters comments. The camera is quite good and extremely compact. With SD memory cards increasing in size and reducing in price, it seems like a great way to go. In regards to the AVCHD recording format, this camcorder and many others from Sony and Canon have the same issue, which was the lack of support from software makers to adopt it. But this has all changed, there are some products from both the MAC and PC, Final Cut Express 4 and Nero 8 respectively that natively handle AVCHD and can edit and convert it into any format. The hardware requirements to run this software seems to require a fairly newer computer, but nothing on the extreme side.Just my take on it.

About the file format

Update. After having this camcorder for a year I can say that it was a worthy buy. Once technology cought up with this camera, it worked with no issues. By that I mean that in the last year I have updated my destop anc got a new laptop and have not had the video issues I had with my old systems. The videos play in media player and can be edited in any video editor with no special setup or conversion. All works as expected. And video quality is EXCELLENT. Just turn OFF anti-shake.********Ok one of the most common complaints about this camcorder is it's use of the new and relatively unsupported compression format. But there is an easy way around this and it's the software bundle that comes with the camcorder, PowerDirector. It's a simple video editing software versioned specifically for this camcorder. If you want to use a different program for editing or playing videos you can just drop a video clip into PowerDirector and then just export the untouched video to some other format. I chose the commonly supported mpeg 2 format and the file is made into a useful format with no apparent quality loss. Simple.As far as I'm concerned there is no problem with the file format.

Two ZipDrop pockets in front feature internal paraphernalia pockets and an internal zippered mesh accessory pocket. The front flap has a weather-protected Speed Pocket that allows filters and other accessories to be quickly accessed without opening the bag. Large, foam-padded side pockets protect an extra lens, batteries and other items. Straps beneath the ZipDrop pockets hold a tripod, while the Piggy-Back Pocket allows the bag to be slipped over the handle of rolling luggage. Carry the Super Pro 14 using either the BioCurve shoulder strap or the EasyGrip carrying handle with torsion bar stabilizer.

Excellent

This is exactly what I wanted...a huge, rectangular bag with all the goodies. I wanted to be able to carry everything and have quick access to it all. Lots of pockets. My only complaint is that (and this applies to every camera bag I've ever bought) most of the pre-configured storage spaces seem to assume older skinny lenses not the fat ones I currently use. So, re-organizing the interior is a must.

The ABSOLUTE best bag you can buy!

I am a hobby or occaisional photographer.I have been searching for a bag for 7 years off and on that offers the size, quality and, inginuity this bag offers.When I started this quest digital was really taking hold and 35mm was almost obsolete. I have several Canon AE/AV series bodies, a truckload of lenses and accessories. (Most aquired in ebay auctions trying to get a single lens).Years ago large pro bags were abundent, They became almost non existent due to the digital age as much less equipment was required to obtain the same goal.One of the bags I obtained when aquiring likely a single lens was a Tamrac. I was very pleased with the bag but again, to small for the fortress of equipment I now had. (And for some idiotic reason I figured I should haul it all because I might actually take a picture).Not wanting to carry 4-5 suit cases or a gross of SLR bags, I re-opened my quest to find the ultimate bag. Big enough that only one bag is required, but not so big that I would have to purchase a pack mule. I began looking only to find big bags are now made in backpack form or like a brief case.Not happy with what I found online and many pro camera shops, I pretty much concluded that what I really wanted simply was non existent.When I finally cleared my head from gross overload, I decided to search the Tamrac web site, and out of the blue comes the specifications of a bag so perfect that I was sure I was having a halusination. Big yet the size below pack mule requiremnt.I went to Amazon and ordered this beautiful, LARGE bag.Everything fit as I had hoped with room for a couple more filters, maybe some batteries and , who knows, another lens!. But I have a problem!This new problem is I bought this so my wife and I had to only carry one bag, except she cannot lift the darn thing. New strategy!I give away all my 35mm stuff and go digital. She gives me this beautiful bag, and with what I owned now is one EOS T2i, and two lenses. What am I going to fill this bag with???? BUMMER.... I have to buy more lenses, filters, more lenses, bigger lenses, more filters, batteries, cables, flash unit and, on sn on and on.This bag is by far the best bag you gan get. As you can guess, I would not part with it but had to spend several thousand dollars to fill this thing in order to justify the bag size and cost to my wife. (not sure what she will say about all the other stuff I had to buy to fill it yet!)The best thing is that is is 100% USA made. The quality, warranty and and desigh are unmatched. As I keep telling my wife, "it only cost a nickle more to go first class"! This bag is pricey, but well worth the cost.

Tarmac is It!

I've had this bag for 5 years (purchased from Amazon) and it is my primary bag, I have a Tarmac Pro 12 for walking around. The 14 holds 2 bodies and 8 lenses, two strobes, filters and such. With it full of goodies it needs 2 men and a boy to carry around. I love it - period! This bag has been rained on, sat in icy cold water, and nothing in the bag has ever been wet or even shown the first bit of moisture. The slots for media are great, and it even has a pouch for a light meter should you carry one (I do). But then I earn a living with my cameras. If you have a bunch of equipment - Tarmac bags are great!

Nice solid return grille.

This is made of cast iron. It is deceivingly heavy. We needed a grill to cover a floor return and this was the perfect solution. The hole we covered was fairly large and we wanted to make sure the grill could support a fair amount of weight if accidentally stepped on and this works perfectly. It is so substantial we did not bother with screwing it down to the floor.

Cute enough, but don't waste your money...

I bought this set with my first child and grew tired of it rather quickly. It was just kind of boring. The colors weren't very vibrant, the material was a bit scratchy (I ended up purchasing softer sheets from a store) and a couple of the strings on the crib bumper tore off after a couple of months. Plus, I learned that buying crib bedding sets is kind of a waste of money because you end up not using half of the set. The diaper stacker is just kind of silly, the window valances didn't fit the window so they weren't used, you can't use the blanket or pillow until the child is much older (and by then you've changed the decor of their room anyway) and technically, you're not really supposed to use the bumper since it can cause suffocation. When you consider the sheets that I didn't use because they were too scratchy, I was basically left with a bed skirt and a few dragonflies to hang on the wall. I sold the set at a yard sale and didn't bother buying sets with my next two children. I just bought sheets, bed skirts and crib bumpers for half the cost of this set.

I HAD SEEN THIS PRODUCT SOMEWHERE ELSE SO I WAS FAMILER WITH IT. SO I WAS REALLY EXCITED TO TRY IT AND FOR THE PRICE ITS AWESOME!!! IT GETS SOOO HOT IN SEC IT SLIDES RIGHT THROUGH YOUR HAIR WITH EASE. IT STRAIGHTENS SO NICE YOU DONT HAVE TO KEEP GOING THROUGH YOUR HAIR A BUNCH OF TIMES. best hot iron (doesn't snag, works really well)

I have wild hair when it's humid, and this hot iron does wonders to tame it. My hair gets silky smooth and straight, lasting all day sometimes several (depending on how humid it is). And, it doesn't snag like the cheaper hot irons do. I've been using it for at least 6 years now and it works great STILL. I bought a new one lately just to give it to my mom as a present!
