Product Description

In many Southeast and Far East Asian countries, where the weather is hot and humid, and long before the Western idea of shorts was invented, men typically wore colorful wraps tied around the waist. In fact, you can still find them in coastal lands stretching all the way from the Horn of Africa to the isle of Bali. The traditional patterns were yarn-dyed solids, tartans, and plaids, and sometimes stripes of every variety, shape, and color that were originally woven on hand-looms, and later on power looms. The artisan wraps, also known as lungis and dhotis, are so popular that men use them for formal, informal, casual, cultural, and ceremonial wear. Most often the wraps were made in lightweight cottons but the finest ones were made in silk. And the best of these yarn-dyed silk designs were crafted in the south of India, in the state of Tamil Nadu, around the city of Chennai, formerly know as Madras. And that is where Madras Silk by Royal Silk still comes from. Washable. Sizes S (30-32"), M (33-34"), L (35-36"), XL (37-38"), and XXL (39-40").

3Pure silk boxer shorts
By Barbara A. Jools
The product was exactly as advertised, and I received prompt service. I would like to make a comment re the manufacture of the product to make the boxer shorts more acceptable for other buyers in the future, and I hope you take my constructive criticism on board. The elastic is too tight for the medium size range. There is heaps of material in the boxer shorts, and they are well made, but why is it that things made in Chinese factories always stint on the waist elastic, and consequently spoil a really good product. No one wants to have whelts around the waist after wearing tight elastic for a whole day! Unfortunately I can't unpick it either as it is sewn into the pant so thoroughly, it would take me a year to undo it, and thread more elastic through. The problem is that I now have three pair of wonderful silk boxer shorts for my husband, and he can't wear them! ...so they are a waste. This problem wasn't anticipated, but now it makes me less inclined to buy thing sight unseen over the internet. Yours most sincerely...Barbara Jools, SydneyPS..My darling husband is a paraplegic, and spends his every waking moment in a wheelchair, hence the importance of non restrictive undies that don't cut into his tummy.

I picked up a set of these a few years back and they still look and feel great. I'm grabbing another set for the winter. Good solid buy.

By Cajun Cook-ie
Attractive, easy to launder, comfortable boxers for men....bought these for a month long trip to Asia. Makes packing and hand laundering on a trip a breeze..... you will bless the day you bought these. Not cheap but worth every penny. Regular fit, does not fade. Dries in a wink.
