Nice Cage

The cage arrived about a week ahead of schedule.Once assembled this is a very nice cage and our conure seems very happy with it.Assembly is fairly easy: 12 machine screws hold the four sides together and another 8 machine screws hold the four top pieces in place. The four wheels can be put on by hand and hand tighted worked for me. The front door comes with a nice latch that seems to be bird proof. Three bowls attach to doors that can be opened from the outside. So, changing food and water is easy. Assembly of the door latches for these three doors is also easy. There's another door at the top front that opens downward and is held in place by a little latch. The top also opens. While the cage is easy to assemble the instructions aren't very detailed. That said, the only part that took some thought was attachment of the seed guard. The seed guard consists of four parts and each of these parts has two holes on each end. The holes should face outward. My cage was packed extremely well and there were NO damaged parts. However, five machine screws were missing as was the hardware for assembling the seed guards. These were common machine screws that can easily be found at your local hardware store. So, this was no big deal. Further the people at Parrot Paradise were very nice and sent me a box of goodies for my conure to compensate me for my trouble. All in all I would recommend this cage as well as the vender.The maximum height of the cage is about 61 inches. The maximum width including the seed guard is about 29.5 inches and the maximum depth including the seed guard is about 28.5 inches. The living space measurements are as follows: width about 24 inches and depth about 22 inches. The height of the living space ranges from about 32 inches to a maximum of about 42 inches.Again, I would recommend this cage as well as the vender.UPDATE - After going through all the above, I purchased a second cage like this. This cage came with all the parts and was very easy to assemble. So, now I have two of these cages side by side - one with my Conur and the other with my Cocketiel.
