rugged, reliable, great value

This is an amazingly good power supply for the price. The feature set is very basic (just a current knob, voltage knob, and on/off switch), but it gets the job done and is well built.My only complaint is that there is no "current lock" or "voltage lock" switch. This means that if you have the supply hooked up to a device which can be damaged by excessive voltage or current, you must be VERY careful not to accidentally bump the knobs. High-end power supplies tend to have a button you can use to disable the knobs once you've set the desired voltage and maximum current.Otherwise I'm very happy with this.Note that you'll need cables with it; you want the ones that have a "test lead" connector on one end (the end that connects to the power supply). The connectors on the device are NOT banana-plug style.Here's an example: look at the bottom two cables in the product image for this product: Extech TL809 Electronic Test Lead Kit -- that's the kind of cable you need.
