Brass finish did not hold up to weather

I've had this light hanging on my front porch for the past 5 years or so. It has been a good light, works well, never had any issues with the functionality of it. When it was new, it also looked nice, but within a couple years the brass finish wore off and it is now very dull and tarnished looking. I have tried various polishes, but nothing helps.The light was easy to install for any DIYer with electrical experience. The light is nice and big and looks good on a large front porch. Gives off a nice light when used with even just two 40W bulbs (60W is the max for each bulb but I found that to be just too bright).

Perfect light

We love this light fixture. When we built our home 10 years ago we had this same style light installed at our front door. Never had any problems with the light for 10 years until we got hit with a hail storm earlier this year. We liked the look so much that we decided to go with the same light fixture. Ordered it from Amazon, it arrived on time, I immediately inspected the light and it was without blemish. The contractor installed it without any problem and it looks great on the house. Glad this was a flawless and pleasant experience. We also ordered two of the larger version of this light as replacements by the garage. They all work and look great.
