much better than the lyman pot!

Much better than my 20 year old lee pot. I originally bought the lyman and returned it after one day and traded it for this. This works very well, keeps the temp very uniform.changing my review to 5 stars after using it for a while.Thanks Amazon!

I purchased the Pro-Melt Furnace for my husband as the one he was using was not doing it. He had one of the Pro-Melt Furnace for at least 15 years and it just wore out. He used it alot as he melts things for his fishing lures and had to replace it with another type and it just fell apart after not that much use. We looked all over for a place that sold the Pro-Melt and I finally decided to look on Amazon and could not believe they had them. It is like the old one but he said it works so much easier with lifting the handle up and down, so as long as he is happy I am happy. The service from this company was just great.

A much better furnace than the Lee 4-20 bottom pour pot. The mold guide is adjustable and fits my Lee 6-cav molds fine. Warms up quick, but seems prone to spout freeze especially when the pot is full. Keep a straightened paperclip and some pliers on hand to unjam the spout, and never put anything but clean lead in to keep things from getting clogged. I can fit 22 pounds of lead in there full to the brim.Sturdier than the Lee and better control and set temeperature... But then it costs over 5 times what a Lee costs! As they say, buy quality and only cry once. I think it will outlive me!
