Does the job, but with some shortcomings...
By J. Guerrero
When I got this product, I was really excited to see how easily I would bend conduit. As it turns out, conduit bending is a trade within itself when you're not bending just 90 degree angles.Anyhow, the product does the job, but with these reservations:1. Packaging was a bit on the weak side, as it arrived torn. Package is just a plain carton box with little protection and not reusable as a storage case. One of the plastic corners came broken, although by far not indispensible, you expect a braun new product if that's what you purchased. I love caring for and maintaining things, even if they're tools designed to wearout.2. Dies do not have measures on them. This I comment, because in comparison with regular conduit benders you use with a tube against the ground, you'll find no indications but the measure of the die, as it contains the ones therein specified.3. The stop for bending the conduit seems to be a little defective, as it makes pressure with the support bolts that hold the bender in place. You need to place a support of your own, so it won't eventually bend the ones included. So, when you bend, the stop does not stay in place, but presses against these bolts not designed for this kind of pressure. I checked, and it's not an error of assembly on my behalf. On the up side:1. I love the pipe vise. Although, I recommend it only be used for conduit tube, as it is designed. I used it on some copper 1/2" pipes, but it deformed one of them, as I pressed a little too hard. Use the pipe vise on other kind of tubing only for support, not to work on; besides you don't want to get solder all over the devise; it'll tarnish it, no matter how easily you can clean it off when it cools.2. Product is heavy enough for support of the bending.3. It is portable, but on the heavy side, weighing in a good 32 Kgs. You may want to leave it at home or in your shop if you need to do some bending, just take the measures with you and bend on site, so as not to carry it around.4. Bends conduit easily. Very easily.I recommend you get this bender over others, as I also noticed other benders do not have dies that are marked, so I guess it's just that I'm no pro of conduit bending to notice this. The disadvantage is you only have 3 die measures, but they're the most common for home electrical conduit installation, so it works perfect for me.

GREAT CONDUIT BENDER
By Clamshell
Very well built and sturdy bender. We use it to bend 3/4 conduit for manufacturing a handtool, the same bend over and over. So they need to be precise and it has to be easy. The Grizzly does both! Also you can store it away when not in use.The pipe vise on the side is very handy for holding and cutting the pipe.Highly recommend if you are bending alot of pipe!!Jimbeachroller.com
