Tires are manufactured to a 7% allowable deviation in dimensions for a given tire size. As a result if the tire chains can't be tightened to a snug fit it may be necessary to use add-on tire chain tensioners for some applications.

Got to test them in 10 inches of snow

My area hasn't seen much snow for years. This year was the exception. They went on quickly and with reasonable ease while inside the garage. Backed out and was driving while small 4WD Jeep patriot was getting stuck. :)Max speed 25-30 mph and not for use on cleared roads, but if you need to get through they work.Getting them off was trickier. Had to move the car to get access to the attaching clip.They have a rubber tensioner built in, so you don't have to buy an additional tightener device.
