Length of cord is nice

I bought this item because I thought I was having problems with my wireless remote. As it turns out, it was a wiring problem in the boat. However, I do find myself using this quite often.I am accustomed to using the manual type that rocks back and forth, so the electronic version is a little difficult to use for me. I haven't had any problems with its use though. Everything works great. I have a dual console (fish/ski) and it is nice to be able to take this back to the driver's seat and maneuver the boat while the kids are fishing (as opposed to being at the front of the boat). I have had this product for about a year now.
