MBT KISUMU BROWN (WITHOUT STRAP IN THE BACK)

ASN: B004LOCDFAThis MBT sandal doesn't have the adjustable strap in the back. It is necessary for an MBT to fit properly and for it to have the adjustable strap in the back in order for one to be able to adjust the fit and walk correctly in the sandals and receive the maximum level of support and keep one's foot in the correct location to receive the maximimum benefit from the placement of the arch support in the sole. By not having an adustable strap in the back one will not be able to make any adustment of the strap in the back when the strap in the back stretches as it will do so the more one wears this sandal. I have an MBT Kisumu sandal that looks similar to this one also in the light color brown with an adjustable strap in the back and I have found it absoltely necessary to be able to adjust the strap in the back. I do not recommend to anyone to purchase this sandal without the strap in the back as you will not be satisfied and it won't take very long for the strap in the back to stretch and you will feel the difference in the amount and quality of support you used to have prior to the strap being stretched and for most people this will be the end of wearing the sandal and it will either sit in ones closit never to be worn again or be donated to Goodwill. Don't buy this sandal; you will be disappointed and waste your money if you do. The price is low for a reason and the reason is very poor quality and construction.

A different way of walking.

Worth 200 plus dollars, NO in terms of quality of materials and workman ship. However in terms of what this design does for your posture, your gate, your various pains (in my case lower back) they are great. You need to wear them for a week just to get used to walking differently, the rocking motion, using your toes a lot more and hitting the heal correctly. Once you get comfortable with them wearing normal shoes hurts. If you have the bucks give them a try.

Unbelievable!!!

I am a 278lb. woman who has been on the weight loss trail for quite some time. I have also been looking for ways to enhance the tedious task of walking. After reading the description of these shoes and doing a little research (of course I did...look at the price!) I took the bait. This was truely a wise purchase. Upon opening the box I said, "ok, so they're round bottom shoes that look like tires at the bottom." But my first walking experience with them was incredible! For the first time ever the weight of my body felt evenly balanced. When walking with an average pair of Reeboks or Nikes, I my body would still wobble a bit and I'd need to tap or lightly push the wall of the outer lane (on an inside track)to keep balanced. Or I'd have to concentrate on keeping my feet and ankles straight and forward because they'd tend to land outward or inward with every other step. But these shoes corrected all of that so I could keep my pace and increase it! Not only that but the pain I would usually feel in my lower back went to where it should be, my calves and thighs.So if you are thinking of spending this much on a pair of workout shoes, choose these. By the way I also were a size 11 wide so for any women out there who wear the same go for the men's size shoes.
