My bedroom needed a make-over so I decided to get an area rug. after much researching, it seemed that a wool rug would be the most worthwhile investment.The online description was adequate, and hand-tufted and 100% wool felt more natural (my preference).I was skeptical about making such an expensive online purchase with no prior product reviews, and also had a question about a similar product on another website (turns out it was used), so I contacted the sellers via Amazon. I never expected such a prompt (less than 24 hours) and detailed explanation of my query.Always with a soft spot for good customer service, I bought the Le Cube rug (5 x 8 feet).I expected shipping to take a while since I have a secondary service deliver it from the US, so I cannot comment on this aspect for persons living in the contiguous states. As an international customer, it arrived in a timely fashion.The rug came rolled up (short way, @ 5 ft long), wrapped in heavy clear plastic, and secured with clear tape where needed and industrial strength "twisty ties" at the upper end.The wrapping came off easily enough, and rolled open quite easily (did it solo).On other rug reviews, people expressed concern about rolled up edges and fold lines. However, with this rug the "dog ears" were minimal, and after walking barefoot over the entire rug and its edges twice, it lay completely flat with no folds whatsoever.The colours are vibrant and only slightly different from how they appear on my monitor (can't give you visual specs at the moment, but it's pretty accurate reproduction of images posted).That said, the beige is more oatmeal and less cream, the rose pink is more like a deep fuchsia, and the brown is much richer than they appear in the picture. The burnt orange and light teal are true to colour.The colours just pop from this rug, and really livened up my room!The pile is ~1/4 inch thick, a total of ~1/2 inch high with the knit-work beneath. I would have liked for it to feel a bit softer, but it's still nice underfoot, and the craftsmanship can definitely stand the wear and tear of kids at play.My biggest gripe, and I assume this is the case for ALL wool rugs, is the SHEDDING.O...M...G...Imagine having 10 ungroomed cats having a frat party in your room... that's what this rug will do to you after one week, even if you never set foot on it.Mind you, other reviewers had advised prompt and maintenance vacuuming, but I had left it alone to see how bad it would get. It's bad, so please vacuum. This is nothing against Surya rugs because this one is gorgeous, but a general warning if you choose high quality 100% wool.Overall, a great purchase! Love it, love it love it!!!!!Will try to attach some pictures to give you a better idea of the quality... and the lint, LOL.
