5Gacha gacha!!
By Elvis Rosario
This by far one of the most amazing items I've purchased for this price! There are no gripes I have about toy itself, however, one thing I wish is that the capsules would open. But then again, you can always find a whole mess of them for cheap on eBay. ;D But overall, wonderful toy! (And YES, nickles DO work in this machine!)

5Types of Coins
By Eric Wenske
This little machine is great. I just wanted to let people know that although advertised to take 100 yen coins, it also accepts 1 yen and 5 yen coins. I also found it works with U.S. Nickels (not quarters though) and works perfectly with the tokens from the arcade I frequent.

5Fun, but buy your own 2 inch capsules
By Kandei-chan
I adore gachapon. As I have no room for real capsule machines at this time, I got two of these half-scale toys. I have yet to get my hands on the 100 yen coins needed to test properly - I will update if there are any problems with the actual vending, but the mechanism is like a real Tomy Gashapon machine and seems to have the normal amount of robustness for a Japanese toy. Anyone who is old enough to play with the small toys in the capsules probably won't break the dispenser. I have heard that certain tokens can be used in some 100 yen applications, but I haven't tried. What really makes this a toy and not a proper vending machine is that it is unsecured. The lid comes off readily for filling and the coin door in back is made to be emptied easily. If a handy parent wanted to gently modify the machine and lock it down, however, I could see it serving as a wonderful reward system. A machine holds about 12-13 capsules. The six capsules that come with the machine are unfillable because, well, they're too tough. They're beautiful and thick and impossible to open. I'm not even convinced that they are made to be filled; maybe they just look pretty. Empty capsules designed to be filled can be found online in small lots. Capsules designed to hold 200 yen toys fit in the machine, about 2 inches (50-60mm.) Almost any North American vending toy would fit in such a capsule, as well as any 100 yen or 200 yen Japanese gachapon item (or if you're lucky, maybe a small 300 yen figure.) I went to a Japanese online marketplace, bought a variety of individual toys averaging $1.50 each aftermarket, and almost all fit - only some toys which turned out to be 300 yen items were too big.All in all, very enjoyable, and I expect I'll love them even more when I get coins to run through them.
