Marvel Icons Phoenix is kick ass!Phoenix is one hell of an amazing top of the line 12inch tall Icons figure.The detail and articulation on the figure overall is as good as it gets for a marvel legend.I love the realistic look of the hair looking wind blown while the face has perfect articulation with the lips and eyes.The detail on the stomach area is awesome as well with definition for the muscles.The phoenix symbol on the chest is masterful while the sash on the hip has a realistic look too it like it is also being blown in the wind.The paint job is just outstanding for the entire figure.Phoenix has secure ball joint construction with a solid build for a quality figure overall.The poseability is outstanding with great stability for creating many cool display poses wherever you may please.I would recommend Phoenix more for collectors than the younger ages though.If you are a parent I would go for a regular size marvel legend figure that your child would have a easier time playing with.This is one Phoenix Marvel Legend that is a great addition for any Phoenix/Marvel fan that wants to add a masterpiece to their marvel world..I highly recommend Marvel Legends Phoenix Icon figure to all Marvel fans and collectors out there.Bottom line Marvel Legends Icon Phoenix is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 figure all fans will enjoy.Phoenix Rocks!!!

Marvel Legends Icons: Jean Grey as Phoenix

From the pages of "X-Men: Endsong" comes this stellar Marvel Icons representation of original X-Man Jean Grey in her cosmic alter ego as Phoenix.This over-sized, 12" action figure is most certainly well-produced, and its makers went the extra mile on the details by providing Jean with excellent facial features and stylish hair to give her a more vibrant, life-like appearance. Despite the fairly hefty cost, I would say the figure is an excellent investment for X-Men merchandise collectors and, most definitely, for Jean Grey's fans.However, I am deducting one star for this reason: for the purposes of display, the figure simply won't stand up by itself for more than a few seconds. Her wedge-heeled boots are shaped in such a way that it becomes virtually impossible for the figure to stand without being propped up in some manner. And here's the ironic note: although there are holes in the bottom of her feet for pegs on a support base, the manufacturers inconveniently chose not to provide the support base. Go figure.Finally, based upon the somewhat frail design of the figure's joints, my assessment is that this figure is probably for display only, and that it shouldn't be viewed as a toy for the 7 and under crowd. Hence, I have doubts about this toy's long-term durability if given to a child for play time.Rating: 8.5/10 (Terrific investment, despite no support base provided)

It's an over-all good figure with some flaws.The left arm was warped. Not overly warped but slightly bent up. Also something was wrong with the leg joint where the lower leg meets the knee on the left, but it was fixable. Some say it's hard to stand and it is, but you just got to balance the stance a bit to make sure it's able to stand without tipping over. The sculpt is impressive and is pretty solid.If you're a fan of the character, Marvel, or X-Men, this is one you don't want to see go.
