Well designed, very adjustable, solid and SMOOTH

This is the first double kick I've played and it replaced an inexpensive Sonor single kick pedal. It's very smooth and easy to hook up. Lot's of adjustments. I was waffling between this and a DW double kick but from the reviews I read this one seemed slightly better. What also tipped it for me was that the spring mechanism seemed much better designed than your typical kick drum. Also, it was just under $150 and which seemed very good value for the money.... and it is! Negatives: I had to put something between the piece that clamps on to the bottom of my kick drum hoop because it doesn't clamp down far enough. The easy adjustment for tightening the clamp is a nice feature but the cam that the adjustment screw pushes against could be designed better. It came with a drum key but also should have come with a small allen key.
