Boss SYB-5, little disappointed.
By BassPlaya
I had very high hopes for this pedal, I had heard amazing things about how well it sounded, and upon arrival I was absolutely excited to play with it. I had played with it for 2-5 hours attempting to get really great sounds out of it, and it seemed almost impossible. The synth sounds really lacked the synthy type action I had hope. I had heard the tracking occasionally gets off, but it was almost always off. You can't play more than quarter notes without it losing track. They had two settings that I really enjoyed (because it didn't lose tracking), but other than that, I was very disappointed in this pedal after awesome reviews.

Wild, Exotic

This pedal is amazing. It heavily modifies the tone of your bass guitar signal. It is hard to explain exactly what it does, especially since each of the 11 modes are different. I highly recommend watching any videos you find online if you're curious to what it does.I found the pedal to be sturdy and up to the BOSS standard. My only complaint is that understanding the individual settings is a bit confusing. The sound can be altered so drastically with only one change, this can make getting the perfect sound a bit complicated.

That's what my bass does now! LOL!I got this Synth' to go with the SoundBlox Bass Envelope filter with their cool ass HotHand ring -wireless expression device.I can now make Dubstep wobble bass! (c:Coolest toy I got, in a long time!Make sure you read the pretty simple manual tho. it can be tricky to get the right sound, and there's a million ways of getting the wrong one /c:I used my Rockman Bass Ace Headpnones amp and practiced with it until I had the tones I wanted dialed in... It can be pretty frustrating if you go at it without the manual... 'til you get used to how you combine the settings on the pretty simple, and very functional, layout.Great, solid, BOSS... Get a power adapter tho. this thing eats 9v's like appetizers.
