Product Description

The Realist Cello acoustic transducer was designed by Ned Steinberger in association with David Gage. A primary design goal was to create a transducer that would work equally well for pizzicato and arco through commonly used amplifiers, without requiring a pre-amp or other active, battery powered gear. A flexible element fits under the bridge foot so that it picks up sound from both the bridge and top plate. Produces a rich and powerful response that is acoustically true for both pizzicato and arco without adjusting controls. No preamp necessary. Easy installation. Just plug it in.

5In a live club this is magic
By Brad W
After going to hear a three cello performance, each with a different system, it was very clear by the end of the set one of the cellists had the best sound, and it was on the one with the realist. The tone is wonderful, full, and very easy for the soundman to get right. I encouraged my girlfriend to get one and it has been great for live and recording demo work.

4Nice pickup
By D. Martin
I play in church worship monthly, the pickup has made it so I can be heard equally with all the other instruments that are connected electronically. The sound is beautiful and it was easy to install.

4Good! but Not good for cello
By Jee Seung Choi
I 've been using this items 3-4years now. I play cello in worship every Sunday. So far I do not have disappointment. If you connected with amp and change some level, it will help alot though. However in G string does not sounds good. less sound i guess. Also hurting cello. Everytime i restring my cello or put this item on my cello i always worry that i am going to ruin cello. However so far, It just great item!
