5Really Great Amp!!
By Walrus
I was looking for a good, powerful amp to replace my Peavey which only had about 160 watts. Played many expensive amps and found that the Behringer BX4500H 450-Watt Bass Amp Head had more power and better tone than amps twice the price. Some musicians look down at Behringer, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out why. This amp was cleaner sounding than the Hartke I tried and on par with the Gallien-Krueger with similar specs, at half the price. It comes with a foot pedal for the Ultrabass which takes you an octave lower, and the Shape function, which I find useful if you need a different sound for a certain song or if you are changing basses or soloing. This Behringer amp is equipped with a unique Dynamizer preamp circuitry that gives you a lively and punchy sound with signal peaks--even if the amp reaches its power limits. Extreme signal peaks are limited effectively while the average level and hence the power of the overall signal is raised. The sound gets more vivid and powerful in character, without any unmusical distortion. With its limiter in the power stage it is virtually impossible to overdrive the ULTRABASS BX4500H.Some of the Specs:Extremely powerful 450-Watt bass amplifier headDynamizer technology for ultimate punch and to capture every nuance of your playingSwitchable Ultrabass subharmonics processor for unbelievable low-end powerRevolutionary Shape filter for extreme sound rangeDedicated 5-band EQ with Bright and Deep functions for awesome sound shapingMusical limiter for ultimate volume without distortionVintage-style VU meter for precise signal level controlDual footswitch for Ultrabass and Shape functions includedBalanced DI output for direct connection to your mixing consoleDedicated Tuner Output/Effect Send and separate Line output for additional flexibilityFX Insert for external effects devices (stomp boxes, rack effects, etc.)3 speaker outputs on 1/4'' jack and professional speaker connectors (compatible with Neutrik Speakon connectors)Active, temperature-controlled cooling system for ultimate protectionHigh-quality components and exceptionally rugged construction ensure long lifeI've had this amp for about 4 months and have played several gigs of different sizes and this amp has proven itself. Other musicians check it out and at least one I know of has bought this amp to replace a more popular brand. I've, in the last couple of years, revisited my love for bass playing after a 30 year hiatus. Call it my mid life crisis, cheaper than a red Porsche! I own several Behringer products and am sold on the quality and affordability. For the power, sound, tone shaping, appearance, and ESPECIALLY the price, I can highly recommend the Behringer BX4500H 450-Watt Bass Amp Head.

5Power and tone
By A Catherder
This has better tone than my 500 watt Hartke. The 2 button foot switch is hooked to useful effects.I like the Ultrabass set below about 2, and leave it off most of the time. The Shape sounds good on about 5.I skip the bright and deep, they add more noise than good tone.Set the gain on 6 for my Fender Jazz with S1 button. The guitars tone controls seem more versatile than with my old amp.I set output on 2 for practice with lots of punch. Set it on 3 if you want to blow cats across the room, it can play gigs with room to spare. I have it hooked to a Hartke 15VX and an Avatar 2 x 12. The DI out sounds pretty lifeless compared to a mic in front of the speaker for recording and PA. This is a great sounding, high powered amp.

5killer bass head....
By Michael Williams
Having previously used a behringer BX3000T head with the bugera 4×10 cab,for 3 years... which was a beast of a setup in itself, I bought the BX4500H head wanting to be able to bi amp 2 bugera 4×10 cabs,Which are 4 ohms each and cant be powered by one head. The resulting stack of raw bass power is something to behold. WOW the tone and power of this head is unmatched for the price.I have an SWR 750x with a GK goldline 8x10 cab and the behringer heads and cabs blow it away!I left them home and took the behringer stack to our last gig... and blew everybody away with my tone and raw power... BUY THIS HEAD, you will not be disappointed...
