5May be right for you...

HOW USED: primarily for flying, but also at my desk w/ my laptop. COMPARISONS: Before settling on the Bose QC-2's, I tested (on flights) the following noise-cancelling headphones: Bose QC-3's, Sennheiser PX-250's, and Solitudes (LINX, ver. 3). All had good-to-excellent sound, plus individual pros & cons. CONCLUSION: which headphone is "best" depends on your tastes, physique, and priorities. PROS (vs. other models): more comfortable for long periods than on-the-ear phones; have the deepest (more comfortable) over-the-ear cups; use normal batteries--you're not compelled to use expensive, proprietary batteries; noise-cancelling component is built-into headset (vs. awkward capsule on wire). CONS: clunky when turning head to side or trying to sleep; ears may sweat in sealed-off cups. Though not perfect, the Bose QC-2's are the best noise-cancelling headphones on the market (for me). Though pricey, they're worth it, making frequent flying far more pleasant!

1QC 2 Headphones
By JIMMY L. COLLINS
The Quiet Comfort Headphones (QC2) them selves are an excellent quality product. I purchaced these headphones to replace a pair I had lost while vacatonaing recently. These QC2's were advdertised as refurbishes which is why I purchaced them in the first place. After purchacing these headphones from the seller on Amazon, I clicked on the link in an email I received from the seller and Amazon to check the status and delivery date and discovered they were coming from Hong Kong, China. I'm not nocking China but, had I known prior to ordering, I would have at the very least given a second thought to ordering from another country. Afterall, what recourse do I have when the item arrives and there is something wrong with it?The headphones came with no accessories which was not stated on the website. I contacted Bose to purchace the accessories and I found out that the headphones did not have the equipment decal which contained the serial number which Bose requested from me. Also when the headphones arrived there was still battery in the battery compartment, that had started to leak and corrode the connections, however they still worked. Two weeks after arrival and during normal use, the headphones broke, requiring a part that could not be purchaced form the manufacturer. I ended up sending the headphones to Bose and paying another $85 in exhange for a brand new pair.

3They are OK, but consider the QC15 instead.
By S. Power
These headphones work very well, but you should consider the QC15. They are the upgraded version of these and work much better. I upgraded about three years ago and have been very impressed with the improvement of the QC15 over the QC2.
