OMG
By Richard Kinder
I Love to cook... I'm an engineer by trade, Aerospace type. I escape to cooking for friends. I was using an old Grand Cuisine set that served my wife and I well, with copper bottoms only. We installed a new Wolf stove with large burners and the ol' Grand Cuisine was burning where the copper stopped. I was interested in the All Clad Copper Core because I like copper performance but don't like cleaning bare copper. We bought this set at a local store. Be careful, all 10 piece sets are not the same. Some include different pieces. A higher price set could be a better bargain. You need to check the size of your pieces. The 10 piece set for was perfect for starter. My wife wants' three more pieces.Performance: While I'm not a pro chef, I am an engineer. You can say what you want. I'm a people person too. We like it when our friends leave with full stomachs swearing they've had nothing better. This does not happen all the time, but when the beer and food hit the mark, it happens once in a while. These pots ROCK. The pots distribute the heat as described. They are expensive. (Period) But you do get what you pay for in this case. These pots handle the big burners like they were made for them. Even the small pots. I need to put the small pot across the ring of fire to capture only a portion of the ring and they can melt butter evenly. (Period) Sauce, sage chicken, you name it. Because of the performance, they are easier to clean too. They have fewer hot spots than typical pots that would normally burn sections of food into the pan.We are very happy, picky engineers. If a new set of cookware is a financial priority for you, get the copper core. (Period)

World's best cookware
By Busy Executive
I'm a bit of an amateur chef, and All-Clad is the best cookware I've found at any price. All of the pieces heat (or cool) quickly, cook evenly and are easy to clean. They don't ask to be treated with exceptional care, and you get the sense that an investment in All-Clad will last forever. For what it's worth, to me, the copper core is definitely worth the extra cost versus the steel or steel and aluminum designs. They're a bit heavier, but they seem to cook much better. To me, the look is clean and elegant, but functional. But of course, we don't buy pots and pans for how they look...for whatever reason, I just find that I'm a better cook with All-Clad.This particular set is about perfect for most uses. For me, I add a small (1.5Q) saucier, a double boiler and a steamer insert, and I feel like I have all the bases covered.Add to this the fact that they're made in the USA and guaranteed forever - and you have the world's best cookware. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic Cookware Made in America
By Mary A
When my 'green' non-stick pans started flaking 2 years ago, I started to research alternatives to teflon and the 'green' alternatives, which don't hold up to my cooking very long. My research came up, finally, with All-Clad, and it topped my personal preference because it is made entirely in the United States. In Pennsylvania to be exact. In an age of Walmart deals and Costco bulk buying, I really try to make thoughtful purchases and buy American. Yes, All-Clad is expensive, hopefully because American workers are getting paid a living wage to craft high-quality cookware.I received one 8-inch fry pan for Christmas that year and it cooks like a dream! I have never had a problem with food sticking (as one reviewer mentioned) because I read the instructions. Specifically those that say to preheat the pan on low for a minute or two, and to regulate all cooking to low-medium settings in general. The pan heats evenly, quickly and spectacularly hot, I mean that's why we're all looking at copper right? So you don't need to crank up the gas to high to cook your eggs anymore. For the reductions that do cling to the bottom, well, I found that a quick soak with hot water before washing lifted the majority of the food remnants from the pan's surface. When I saw this set was on sale I snapped it up! I'm very pleased to be able to replace my Made in China garbage and all a lot sooner than I anticipated. My last tip is for anyone with hard water: after I hand-washed my pan I noticed white hard water salt stains remained even after I hand dried it. All you need to get rid of these is a little white vinegar and a dry cloth. Pour a little in the pan and rub it in/off with the cloth. The stains will be gone and the pan will look as new as it did out of the box.
