lasted forever

I bought this first yr med school, 1991. it lasted until 2010, being used heavily, dropped and abused. it was used in areas from family med, to neurosurgery, to emergency med and everything inbetween. infact my heads still work, but for some reason my handle has died.the set is easy to use, it is ergonomic and nicely weighted. it is also exceptionally adaptible in that it can be used with batteries as well as electricity-for those who are off the grid and in another continent.the light on this set is bright and true-white; the otoscope head can be removed so the handle functions as a super-bright pen light. and the 'anti-glare' filter on the opthalmoscope is so essential! while there are newer sets with the macroviews that magnify the tm and the optic disc, this is a great price for a basic set, and useful across a range of practice fields. the price listed here is a lot less than i paid for it, but amortize that over the number of years and/or number of patients it was used for-priceless. highly recommend.

This is a very nice diagnostic kit. It's fairly small and contains all you need. The handle is chargeable - you just unscrew the cap and plug it in. The different instruments switch on-and-off without hassle. I'd recommend without reserve.
