This small stereo multi-effects processor has 16 effects presets, including reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, phaser, rotary speaker, pitch shifter and multi-effects. The Ins and Outs
The FEX800 has two modes of operation: mono and stereo. It features balanced 1/4" and XLR inputs and outputs. A stereo input level control with digit LED input meter provides precise level indication. The FEX800 has dedicated mix, balance and output level controls for accurate level adjustment. If you're using the FEX800 live, an optional footswitch connector provides easy on/off switching. Two-Band EQ
Additionally, each input channel has a two-band EQ (Bass and Treble), Balance (allowing you to place the signal wherever you want within the stereo image) and an Effects level control. It is important to note that while many of our competitors only provide a reverb switch, the EPA900 features an FX level control per channel with 100 state-of-the-art 24-bit digital FX to choose from. FX can be turned off/on via any standard footswitch (not included).
The Sweet Sound of Reverb, or Delay, or...
If you're making a speech, chances are you won't need it, but if you're playing a musical instrument and/or singing, you might want to add some effects. So, we've included a 24-bit stereo FX processor with 100 great-sounding presets including reverb, chorus, flanger, delay, pitch shifter and various multi-effects to sweeten your performance. And if you want to sing along with pre-recorded tapes or CDs, the EPA900's Voice Canceller function can remove virtually all the vocals from music played back through channels 7/8 with the simple flick of a switch.
It's All About Connections
The EPA900 comes ready for your input, literally. Channels 1 - 4 accept balanced XLR mics, as well as balanced and unbalanced 1/4" line-level sources, such as electronic keyboards and the like. Stereo channels 5/6 and 7/8 accommodate RCA and 1/4" inputs, such as drum machines, keyboard sound modules, etc. All in all, there are enough mic and line-level inputs to handle a small band, and the RCA Tape Out connectors provide the perfect connections for recording your performance.
A Bonus Channel?
Want to play some of your favorite tunes at the company picnic? The EPA900 comes equipped with a 1/8" stereo minijack for connecting an MP3 player. Additionally, the Stereo Aux In section features Left and Right ¼" jacks for connecting even more professional audio sources. You don't even have to give up a channel, just control the volume from the player. It's like getting 10 channels for the price of eight!
Everything You Need
The EPA900 is a complete system. Just use the built-in wheels to roll it from the car to the stage, set the main unit on a tabletop and deploy the speakers. Superb sound quality, well worth the price.

I use this FX unit with keyboards (sounds: pianos, vibes, etc). I think this FX unit is a trimmed down version of Behringer's REV2496 (or DSP2024P): instead of a multitude of fully editable sound processing options, here we have 16 "presets" only. Still, it seems these presets use the same signal processing algorithms as the larger rack mount units for impressive sound quality, and each of these 16 presets has a wide range of mixing of the 'dry' and 'wet' signals. The effects are actually 'strong': for most presets turning the edit _and_ the mix knobs all the way clockwise turns the sound into a "ringing noisy mess". But, keeping these knobs anywhere in their mid-range gives your sound what you would expect from a quality FX unit. The stereo reverbs (Cathedral, Concert Hall, etc) are really sweet. Seems like Behringer picked the best of their best for this unit. Only 16 presets but all of top quality. Plus, this unit has the 'tap' button too, just like REV2496, for setting the tempo of delay (recurring echo). Very useful.The only issue with this product is that, well, some of these die rather quickly. But, with Amazon return/ replacement policy and Behringer's 1-year exchange policy, you may want to give it a try anyway. (For me, the _third_ unit was a keeper.)

Bang for the bucks

This thing is cheap! As with most cheap gear it can give you a problem. Changing effects causes an audible click and all phaser/ flanger/chorus effects come with background wash! It does have tap timing which leads me to my main use (echo/slap back/ ping pong) delay. As long as I keep the levels low and don't push it I have been able to make subtle improvements to harsh sounding vocals with this. However, the effort (and the fear it will cause a noise issue) have kept this thing in the bag except when I get a singer who simply will not start soundcheck without me adding delay to their vocals first! It's a karaoke toy!

For the price, this is the top of the line. If you need more than this, then consider a professional sound board.
